  • Let me clarify a few things, because this discussion keeps moving away from its original purpose.

First, regarding how many times I've posted this request:

Whether this is my fourth post or eventually my hundredth, I have every right to continue looking for a suitable provider, as long as I follow the forum rules.

The hosting market is constantly changing. New providers join, existing providers acquire additional inventory, customers cancel servers, and previously allocated hardware becomes available again.

A provider who doesn't have a suitable offer today might have one tomorrow, and another provider may simply not have seen my previous requests.

Therefore, the number of times I choose to look for a suitable service is not something that requires anyone else's approval.

If my request doesn't interest you, you're entirely free to move on.

Second, regarding rising RAM and hardware prices:

I'm well aware that memory prices, hardware costs, electricity, and other operating expenses have increased.

However, there is an important distinction between purchasing brand-new hardware at today's market prices and utilizing existing inventory that a datacenter already owns.

Many established infrastructure operators have older equipment that was purchased years ago, may already be fully depreciated, and may currently be sitting unused after customer cancellations or infrastructure upgrades.

Such equipment doesn't necessarily carry the same capital acquisition costs as building a brand-new server today.

Of course, electricity, bandwidth, maintenance, and other operating costs still exist. I'm not denying that.

But applying today's retail hardware prices to every piece of existing, previously purchased equipment is not an accurate way to evaluate every possible clearance or legacy hosting arrangement.

Different providers have different infrastructure costs, purchasing agreements, available capacity, and business models.

What isn't commercially viable for one provider may be feasible for another with different circumstances.

    Third, regarding my budget:

Let me make this absolutely clear:

My maximum budget remains $25 USD per month, recurring. It will not be increased because some forum members disagree with it.

I'm not asking anyone to operate at a loss, and I'm not demanding that every provider match my requirements.

I'm simply looking for a provider with suitable existing hardware, private inventory, or a special long-term arrangement.

If no provider can currently meet my requirements, that's perfectly fine. I'll continue looking until a suitable opportunity becomes available.

Finally, this is a WTB thread, not a debate about whether I should change my budget.

Constructive suggestions, genuine offers, and relevant technical information are always welcome.

But repeated comments telling me to increase my budget, questioning why I continue searching, or making personal remarks contribute nothing toward the purpose of this discussion.

You are free to disagree with my budget, just as I am free to maintain it. Neither requires the other's approval.

To any datacenter operator or established provider reading this: if you have suitable idle, returned, cancelled, or clearance inventory within my stated recurring budget, I would genuinely welcome your offer.

Thank you to everyone who contributes constructively.

  • :D

    Thanked by 1itzsenu
  • $25? wow let me know if you find one, I pay $80 at ovh for a 2388g 64gb ECC, 512gb dual raid nvme drives with guaranteed bandwidth

    High requirements, no budget. Skip.

  • As far as I know, only @Pjottertjah might be able to help, but probably with 16–20 GB RAM. With those specs and that budget, you're basically asking someone to rent you a server without charging for datacenter costs, IPs, or even the hardware itself. Unless they found the server in a junkyard.

@bobsburgers said: 64G ram alone is like 25 usd a month

is it? tell us which provider, I will definitely buy a couple.

I was referring to upgrades from like 32g to 64 but 25 probably won't even cover it lol

  • Why are so many people sleeping during the day these days

    Thanks for the mention!

Unfortunately there is nothing I can offer in this price range that comes close to these specifications, let alone the additional network requirements (bw + port 25).
