vmware
That strategy seems familiar. 🤣️
Literally anything that’s not Virtualizor. I don’t know if all the providers I’ve used until now are just incompetent beyond belief or if it’s just that slow, but I’m guessing it’s a mix of both.
Also, it feels like Virtualizor just sucks in general, seemingly especially in security (see previous security incidents)
VirtFusion, but it's not without it's minor little annoyances. Still, worlds better than Virtualizor.
Proxmox+modulegarden VPS module in WHMCS seems like equivalent to Virtfusion.
I hope you will take your platform's cybersecurity seriously. I feel that your platform could be hacked at any moment.
as a 'client', i don't really care.
nothing is secure in this ERA
Anything but Virtualizor. I'm sick of getting phishing emails and password reset attempts after their incompetence gets another provider I use hacked!
Exactly, people don't understand this. Virtualizor was also compromised, and providers using it were affected. Before that, we had KVM vulnerabilities too.
Many vulnerabilities are discovered only after attackers have already exploited them. Now imagine how many providers might have been affected before those vulnerabilities were even made public.
Nothing is 100% secure, no matter how big or experienced the provider is.
At the end of the day, keeping your own backups in multiple locations is the only reliable way to protect your data when things go wrong.
Yeah, i am not going to use Virtualizor for sure.
Currently I am stuck between, proxmox, cloudstack, virtfusion
Are you using it? What challenges have you personally faced?
Has anyone tried this?
https://github.com/The-Network-Crew/Proxmox-VE-for-WHMCS
I prefer VirtFushion as a client
+1 virtfusion, smooth so far.
Yes, I was/am using WHMCS+VPS module from Modulesgarden with proxmox.
It has almost everything provider needs and client needs.
Only problem is Modulesgarden keep on increasing the price for their VPS module for Proxmox. It is more like a WHMCS issue, they want to keep many things as costly addons.
Right now I am trying to achieve same thing with Blesta and Proxmox. Not easy but cheaper.
Actually the more automation you allow from client area, the system is more vulnerable .
Example allowing console access to the VPS from client area.
Proxmox
Proxmox + convoy
Since SolusVM is sitting at 3% in the poll, a quick take from someone running SolusVM 2 in production.
The good part: it mostly just works out of the box. You don’t spend weeks fiddling with configs to get a usable setup, which matters a lot when you’re small and don’t have time to babysit the panel.
The bad part: the panel can get buggy every now and then, and when it does, their support is pretty much useless. So you end up fixing things yourself anyway.
Where's VMware?
Proxmox + slop code billing system integration.
Then go for Cloudstack. It's a beast..
But I'm not sure that stupid WHMCS is suitable with Cloudstack. It's just bottleneck the whole thing..
Otherwise Proxmox > Virtfusion for me

I quite like this one for management, but for reliability, I will always choose VirtFusion. 👀
VirtFusion as admin and user. Super clean, not bloated.
Virtfusion, Proxmox.
As a user I cant really say that I care that much. If I buy a vps I might spend a few minutes in the panel setting it up but after that I generally never visit it again so it really does not matter much to me. As long as it has the basic functionality I need I do not really care.
If I had to chose I would say VirtFusion is nice. Good looking interface, everything I need is right there and easy to navigate. But again, I only spend a few minutes there so it's not really a big deal.
VirtFusion or SolusVM 2
