[Request] Poland / Germany — High Single-Core Performance VPS, Dedicated CPU, 16 GB RAM

dimmdimm Member

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a high-performance VPS for my production Laravel e-commerce website. My main priority is strong and consistent single-core CPU performance rather than a high total core count.

Required specifications

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X preferred, or a comparable modern AMD Ryzen / EPYC CPU with similar single-core performance.
  • CPU allocation: 8 vCPUs, ideally representing 4 dedicated physical cores with 8 hardware threads (SMT). I want these CPU resources to be exclusively allocated to my VPS, without other customers competing for the same physical cores. Please clarify exactly how CPU dedication is implemented.
  • Single-core performance: Ideally around 3,000 points in Geekbench 6 single-core, or as close as possible.
  • RAM: 16 GB.
  • Storage: 250–400 GB NVMe SSD, with low latency and no restrictive I/O limits. Ideally, I'd like to see around 50,000 4K random read and write IOPS.
  • Location: Poland strongly preferred; Germany is also acceptable.

Important virtualization and recovery features

  • Custom ISO support: I need to boot my own ISO image to use Veeam Agent for Linux Recovery Media and restore my system from a full-machine backup.
  • Out-of-band console: A reliable web-based VNC/KVM console that remains accessible even if the operating system fails to boot or the network configuration breaks.
  • Snapshots: On-demand VPS snapshots that I can create and restore before system upgrades or other potentially risky changes would be highly desirable, but are not mandatory.

Preferred solution: VPS/VDS with genuinely dedicated CPU resources and a good management panel.

I'm also open to a dedicated physical server if it offers significantly better value. However, I have no previous experience setting up and managing bare-metal servers, so I'd prefer a solution that doesn't require substantially more administration than a regular VPS.

Ideally, Proxmox VE would be pre-installed, with remote KVM/IPMI access and a straightforward way to configure networking and manage VMs through a web interface. I'd run Ubuntu inside a VM and manage it through Proxmox. VM snapshots and the ability to boot custom ISOs would be important.

If setting up and maintaining the virtualization layer requires significant additional networking and system administration work, I'd prefer to stick with a VPS/VDS.

Additional details

The server will run a production e-commerce application using Laravel, MariaDB and Elasticsearch. Some scheduled jobs, including Excel product imports, are largely single-threaded, so strong per-core performance is particularly important. Consistent CPU performance under sustained load matters more to me than a high advertised turbo frequency.

I'm looking for a reliable long-term hosting solution, not necessarily the cheapest offer. My approximate budget is €100–130/month, depending on the hardware, CPU guarantees and included features.

When suggesting a configuration, please include:

1.The exact CPU model and how CPU resources are allocated.
2. Whether you have any existing Geekbench 6 single-core results for this configuration.
3. Storage type and any applicable I/O performance limits.
4. Whether custom ISO boot, an out-of-band console and on-demand snapshots are supported.
5. Server location and monthly price, including any applicable VAT.

I'm open to smaller or less well-known providers if they can offer the right hardware and reliable service.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

@AlbaHost has both Warsaw and Frankfurt. You'd need a custom VDS plan for the specs you need, but I'm sure they can accomodate :) with their VDS plans you don't share CPU cores with neighbors.

With your budget you can get a quite beefy dedicated server from them too. But considering you'd rather not have to manage one, I'd stick with VDS. Not 100% sure if they got Ryzen 9 7950X/9950X VDS in Warsaw though, which is what you'd be aiming for to get 3k GB6 (or the EPYC/Intel alternative)

I made a review about them here a while ago, my experience hasn't changed. If any, it has only improved :) they're great people <3

With that budget and dedicated resource requirements, maybe a @Mevspace dedicated server would work as well?
They have a DC in Wyszków, Poland.

    edit:
k.pl in Wrocław also seems suitable with their Ryzen 5 7600X dedi:
