This is so stupid honestly lol. How many will there be in 5 years? 10 year? Every company will have their own. And we'll have even dumber ones at that point like ".dirt" and ".brainrot"
tungtungtung.brainrot domain auction when?
Actually that would likely be a company TLD from that Italian brainrot company since there's active lawsuits about "brainrot" trademark and they have physical brainrot trading cards.
Wow! What a stupid timeline!
.let for the win!
Let's just go back to .com for companies, .net for networks and URL lists, .org for misc organizations, .gov for governments, and .edu for universities. And drop .mil because fuck the military-industrial complex.
But who the fuck needs .metaglasses or .superintelligence?
Wow, the top 8 gTLDs as of 2018 are .top, .loan, .xyz, .club, .online, .vip, .win, and .shop. That's just sad.
lol i just saw someone mention .scam, fuck yea.
Be the first to register is-a.scam and sell access to subdomains.
Personally more intrigued by .furry and .cosplay. gonna be .epic.
any .retard avail
is-a.scam would be a "PREMIUM" domain which would sell by the TLD owner for $50,000 USD with $10,000/y renewal. That's what the rest of them do already lmao.
premium-domain-registration.is-a.scam
I'm convinced some of the domain sales are just money laundering anyway. Digital "art world" bullshit, especially with some of the shittier obscure TLDs.
is ther a .feet yet?
Intercap registry applied for .stupid
did anyone apply for .summerhost?
I have a cheaper version for you:
isas.cam
i think its not really possible to hide that we all would like to have .brainrot domain
Freedom domain Freedom sold separately.
This whole thing is a scam. It's basically ICANN trying first to get lots of money, and second to make the root zone so complicated that nobody can make their own one separate from ICANN.
Wildcard TLD. The people yearn for .*
Overall don't see a problem with this. The vast majority of these gTLDs go largely unused or become spam/scam havens (.icu, .cfd, .xyz, .top). Let the free market sort itself out. If companies want to blow money on these, that's their loss.
I'd really find it funny if .furry actually makes the cut. Turns out it's a real initiative:

i agree mostly but i do miss the pre-commercialization internet when things were simple, javascript wasn't a thing, web pages had real info etc.
i mean my wallet doesn't miss it cuz get rich bitch, but whatever.
Also .meow: https://www.dotmeow.org
eh, i dont mind it unless its something monumentally stupid as .zip
.chic, so close
Somebody should create one and sell consistently cheap domain names, like $1/year. But I don't know if all the fees they have to pay would allow for it.
It costs $250000 to make the application and then I think the same amount per year. It should be easy enough to sell 250k domains for $1 each though. But do you have that much?
And why would you sell them for $1 when everyone else makes at least $10? You'd be shooting yourself in the foot financially. Think of all the gTLDs you could have with the money you make from your first gTLD.
i imagine it wouldn't be worth the headaches that go along with domains, and even worse for cheap ones.
Well, they'd make a profit from the bulk. But probably right that it would be a headache with the abuse it might attract.
And become the next big tld for phishing/spam/etc? Sure…
