    What CPU though?

I'm confused, is this in Switzerland or Finland? The order page says: "This server operates on our Finland network."

Sustained usage well above ~15 TB/month or continuous link saturation falls outside fair use.

So you can pick effectively 15TB @ 1Gbps or 100TB @ 10Gbps...? Why would anyone pick "unmetered" then?

I appreciate your reply Obelous. Much appreciated. Let me reply.

    CPU is 2x Intel Xeon E5, 28 cores / 56 threads total.

Fair question on the bandwidth, and sorry for the confusion. A template hook pushed our Cloud VPS fair-use text onto the dedicated product page by mistake. We caught it yesterday and it's been removed. The ~15 TB soft cap is a Cloud VPS policy and doesn't apply to dedicated servers. Section 5.6 of the AUP is scoped to Cloud VPS for the same reason.

So the options on this box are simple: 1 Gbit/s unmetered, or 10 Gbit/s with 100 TB. Nothing else applies.

Damn, that's gonna cripple my Tor relay. Guess it's on me for not realizing the FUP was just 15 TB in the first place!

    Maybe I should disable Syncthing.

Thanks for clarifying on the bandwidth.

Sure but what E5 specifically? There's lots of 14-core E5 models with differing performance.

    E5-2697 v3
    E5-2695 v3
    E5-2683 v3
    E5-4660 v3
    E5-2690 v4
    E5-2680 v4
    E5-2660 v4
    E5-2658 v4
    E5-2650L v4
    E5-2648L v4
    E5-4650 v4
    E5-4628L v4

    Hi,

So at this time, it just depends on the CPU that is in the machine which E5- but lately they have been E5-2680 v4, the reason it's set to E5- is because there are times where it's either 2660, 2690, or in some cases when these run out, It becomes Xeon Gold 6138 but that is just as those cases come up..

    Hope that clears it up.
