GreenCloud Discontinues Sydney Australia
No words... One of the only affordable Sydney GSL providers.
Email:
Dear
We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to our Australia (AU) location.
Due to continued increases in hardware, infrastructure, and operating costs, we have been reviewing our global infrastructure to ensure that we can continue providing reliable services at sustainable prices.
Rather than applying broader price increases across our services, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue our Australia location and consolidate our infrastructure across the GreenCloud network.Available Options
Customers with an active VPS in Australia may choose one of the following options:
1. Migrate to another GreenCloud location + 1 FREE month
You may request to move your VPS to another GreenCloud location. You can view our current datacenter locations here: https://greencloudvps.com/data-centers.php
Please let us know your preferred location, and our team will check the availability and compatibility of your current VPS plan at the requested location.
Please note that availability may vary depending on your VPS plan and the resources available at the destination. Some promotional or special plans may only be eligible for relocation to selected locations.
Once the destination is confirmed, we will assist you with the relocation and add one additional month of service free of charge.
2. Cancel and receive a prorated refund
If you prefer not to relocate your VPS, we can provide a prorated refund for the remaining unused service period via one of the following methods:
• GreenCloud Account Credit
• Original Payment Method, where supported
• PayPal
3. Services expiring in 2026
If your VPS is scheduled to expire on or before December 31, 2026, you may continue using the Australia location until its current expiration date.
Please note that services remaining in the Australia location will not be renewable or extendable beyond their current expiration date.
Please contact our Support Team and let us know your preferred option so that we can make the necessary arrangements for your service.
We understand that this change may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you for your continued trust and support of GreenCloud.
Sincerely,
The GreenCloud Team.

Different kind of "green" cloud in Logan...
And I have 4 gig wholesale.
Only a /32 though…
Aren't you in the land of the long white cloud, thats not anywhere close to Sydney that's like +20ms what are we doing here
Where should I transfer it to, or should I just get a refund?
Let me convene the forum's E.I.S.R.C. (Emergency International Server Relocation Committee).
We’ll need to review your workload, latency requirements, budget, growth projections, moon phase, and the server’s birth chart.
Expect a decision within 3-5 business days.

I'm refunding... Only reason I used GreenCloud was for the sweet sweet Sydney GSL. All expiring in 2028!

a few months already. we are still expanding but a bit picky

It’s been challenging. I only began moving to colocation a few years ago before things took an unexpected turn. We’ve had bad luck, but we’re still moving forward.
F**k AI.
BTW, what kind of price did they use to offer for AU?
Australia costs too much, high inflation, interests rate, low wage increasing....
Isolated island....
budget kvm is rome 2cpu/4GB @ $25/year. i hope it won't affect price on other locations.
and stupid policies
How much bandwidth?
Workfare is quite decent. But the internet regulations lol
