Evaluate quoting for colocation services
Looking for colocation for one server of 2U. Measured draw: 512–520 W idle and 769–781 W under stress-ng. One public IP and 100M-1G network. The network quota is not too much very month, typically less than 1T. Chassis U height and depth to follow. We are evaluating options only and are not ready to commit. Thanks!

Good afternoon,
In which location would you want to deploy your new colocated server? Please DM me directly with hardware specifications.

Ambiguous question. No b/w requirements, 1G network? 330TB/mo? location?
For a standard server, no, this is not normal. It is exceptionally high TDP per watt.
You will have lower price if you rent more efficient hardware than 700-800W.
Unless you want to colocate a side by side refrigerator.
Hi, we can host your 2U server at Greenhouse Datacenters in The Hague (NL). Your power, IP and bandwidth needs fit well within what we offer. No pressure while you're evaluating. Feel free to send me a PM for details and pricing.
Thanks for pointing that out. To clarify, this is an existing 2U server with two Xeon Gold 6140 CPUs (36 physical cores / 72 threads total), 1,024 GB RAM, and 12 × 12 TB hard drives (144 TB raw capacity). Its measured draw is 512–520 W at idle and 769–781 W under stress-ng.
Hi,
well every colocation request actually starts with the required geo location and the space requirements. Nowadays not all servers fit into the good old 80cm depth racks, nor the current standard 100cm depth racks. The dimension information does not end with the height.
Also every colocation request would actually give information about the required port ( RJ45? SFTP(+)? ) - additional remote management port? IPMI/iDRAC/iLO ? or also the Powersupply ( AC? DC? how many power ports? ) or if regular access must be granted to the server.
If you are really seriously searching, then it would be helpful for you and the providers to know what you really need. The estimated power draw, server height, port speed and bandwidth requirements were given. Please provide the whole rest.
Is there any particular geographic locations you are looking for?
Thanks for the detailed list. I’m not a server administrator, so I don’t have all of those specifications yet. The server is currently housed in our institution’s data center and both are 2U servers with redundant A/B power supplies. They provided its measured power consumption and two photos, and I can ask them for the chassis model, dimensions, network interfaces, and power connector details if colocation looks financially feasible.
We are considering US locations. Closer to Nashville would be preferable, but we are open to locations farther away if the pricing makes sense. We would manage the server remotely and do not expect to need regular physical access. For hardware issues, we would prefer to request remote hands through support tickets.
I understand that a firm quote requires the remaining specifications. At this stage, could providers give us a rough monthly price range for a 2U server drawing about 520 W at idle and up to 781 W under stress testing? We are only assessing whether colocation is worth pursuing.
I attached the server photos here and the server 2 is what I am talking about.

Idle power usage was measured as 512W (NOC powerIQ) / 520W (BMC dcmi)
Peak power usage under a stress-ng test was 769W (NOC powerIQ) / 781W (BMC dcmi)
