Evaluate quoting for colocation services
Looking for colocation for one server of 2U. Measured draw: 512–520 W idle and 769–781 W under stress-ng. One public IP and 100M-1G network. The network quota is not too much very month, typically less than 1T. Chassis U height and depth to follow. We are evaluating options only and are not ready to commit. Thanks!

For a standard server, no, this is not normal. It is exceptionally high TDP per watt.
You will have lower price if you rent more efficient hardware than 700-800W.
Unless you want to colocate a side by side refrigerator.
