ChunkServe — 24+ Hours Total Downtime & Unresponsive Support

Hello community,

I am writing this post to share my current frustrating experience with ChunkServe and hopefully get the attention of their representative here.

I purchased a "Xeon Yearly Deal" contract (paid for a full year in advance). Yesterday, my server (IP: 191.96.11.239) went completely offline. A network ping shows 100% packet loss, and the VNC console in the billing panel is completely frozen and broken.

I opened an urgent support ticket over 24 hours ago. Since then, I have received absolute silence. No updates, no responses during EU business hours, nothing. To make things worse, when I requested a cancellation due to this critical failure, their system scheduled it for July 2027 instead of processing an immediate pro-rata refund for services not rendered.

As a customer who paid for a year upfront, this total lack of support and massive downtime is unacceptable.

@Chunkserve — Please check Ticket #BMF-690167, fix the node issue, or issue an immediate full refund to my original payment method.

Thanked by 1Chunkserve

Hello, 5 tickets in front of you and it will be done, do not worry. Either tonight or tomorrow morning. Lots of cases due to one issue from recent days, otherwise that's be a bit faster.

  • This is an inexpensive service. The entire support team consists of one person, who may be away or busy with other matters. The servers have been down for three days now. Hopefully, everything will be fixed in the next few days or weeks. )))

  • MR AA best, you have a great name

I think the moral of this story is never put anything production critical on a cheap dedicated server host or if you have something production critical load balance it between multiple hosts from different providers.

Me myself, with my business website which is critical, I actually have a VPS which is the main production server and a backup VPS from a totally different, also affordable host. Yeah, there is WAY more downtime than say AWS, but it is honestly no big deal because both hosts are not down at the same time, so if there are any issues, it just switches to the other one.

  • My situation is that the server went down three days ago. It shows up in Virtualizor, but an error occurs when i trying to start it. Support isn't responding.
If there’s really only one person working there, that’s unfortunate—they need an assistant. It’s tough for that one person, and it’s tough for those of us with servers that are down...
