My quest for a sub-$20/yr Euro VPS for WireGuard – any hidden gems?

Hi LET,

I'm running a Raspberry Pi 3B+ at home with PiVPN (WireGuard) already configured. I'm looking for a low-cost VPS in Europe to use as a WireGuard exit node, so my public IP is replaced by the VPS IP for privacy reasons.

I've looked into Oracle Cloud's free tier, but the registration process asked for more personal data than I'm comfortable providing for this project. I'm not looking for a free handout – just a very low-cost option.

I've read about providers like TierHive, Lunes, and Kyun, but I'd like to know if there are other options or if anyone has recent experience with them.

My budget: around $15–20 per year.

What I need: 1 vCPU, 512 MB–1 GB RAM, and at least 5–10 GB of disk. That's more than enough for WireGuard + Pi-hole + Unbound.

What I'm looking for in a provider:

Doesn't require a credit card or extensive personal data to sign up.

Servers in Europe (Germany, Netherlands, France, or Spain would be ideal for latency).

Root SSH access so I can install a standard Linux distro.

Does anyone have recommendations for a provider that fits these criteria? I'd appreciate any recent hands-on experience.

Thanks in advance.
