Hostbrr throttling Ports?
Hello,
I have ordered a Hostbrr vps cause I had a good experience with them beginning of the year.
I installed Wireguard on the vps, I do get 1-2MBit data rate and high packetloss. Port 51820 / 48888 same low rate and low responsibility. I changed the Port to 430 to test, data rate is much much higher, 150-160MBit/s upload weirdly is only around 20 from my 40. The response time is still low tho and I do get weird latencys.
I have checked their terms of service, they do NOT mention anywhere throttling. But maybe I did something wrong?

Try openvpn?
OpenVPN with UDP would have the same problem. With TCP it would work. But I dont want to use OpenVPN, it's too slow.
Hmm, what's the target speed? 160mbps should be reachable
I have a Hostbrr VPS, and just tested using wg-easy. ~150mbps down/~40mbps up across two speed test runs. I don't think there's any specific filtering going on because I'm using the default port.
I've always found their support very responsive. I'd reach out if the problem persists - Could be an issue with your specific node.
i send my borgbackup to hostbrr vps that has storage box using wireguard, so far never had any problem with the speed so i'd say it's high likely on your side (like getting a derp routing from your isp, or your isp are bandwidth-shaping udp traffic)
but just in case can ping @labze
