[VERY] Budget Friendly Windows VPS
Looking for affordable Windows VPS for game server testing / possible long-term use
This may be a shot in the dark, but no harm in asking.
I'm looking for a [b]true Windows VPS[/b] (Windows is unfortunately a requirement) with roughly:
- 2 vCPU cores
- 4GB RAM
- SSD/NVMe storage (storage requirements are minimal to start)
- Reasonable network connectivity
This is for a small game server project I am currently developing. The initial goal is to get a test environment running so I can:
- Deploy and validate the server stack
- Test stability and performance
- Test external web APIs (hosted separately on Linux infrastructure)
- Ensure everything works correctly before moving to a more permanent production setup
Current budget is limited (around $3 CAD/month or the first month), and I understand Windows licensing makes this a difficult price point.
That said, I'm not just looking for a temporary box. If the service and support are good, I'm looking for a provider I can grow with and move to a higher-tier plan with long term.
I expect to become a recurring customer once the project moves beyond testing.
Windows Server 2019/2022 preferred.
