    At the bottom of those emails there should either be an unsubscribe link OR link to manage email preferences. Either way you should be able to mange preference here https://pulsedmedia.com/clients//clientarea.php?action=details to opt-out of various emails.

    Then they'd need less support, not more. He built an AI to deal with the onslaught of handholding required from the people not savvy enough to run a better, more stable tormenting box themselves already. I think you're overestimating the skills of his average customer. It's for convenience and cost, not the best solution available.
