Just wanted to share my experience with Hostiko’s student VPS deal and support. I found their student offer and contacted support on July 15th to ask about it. I wasn’t a customer and didn’t pay for anything, I was just interested in the student deal. The next day they replied and asked for a photo of my student ID, which is fair enough I guess.
The weird part is that after that, basically nothing happened for almost 2 months. Then on September 9th they finally replied and asked me to send the document to [email protected] by email.
I asked them why it took so long to reply and honestly I still don’t really understand what happened because they didn't respond yet.
I know they need to verify students and apparently they also have KYC/ID verification for the student VPS, so I’m not really complaining about having to prove I’m a student.
It’s just the support time that surprised me. Waiting almost 2 months for a reply about a student VPS seems pretty crazy to me.
I haven’t paid Hostiko anything and I don’t have a paid VPS with them, so this isn’t about downtime, refunds or anything like that. Just sharing my experience with their student deal/support, also it's giving me a shady hosting vibe.

Hell, you deserve a free VPS just for that level of effort
Vainamoinen would force you to finish university, after that work 2 years at KFC or BurgerKing, than go to dumpster diving and finally ask for ID (if you still have any).
