Looking for a VPS in Europe with a generous traffic allowance.

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a VPS in Europe and would appreciate some recommendations from providers or users here.

I need something with a relatively high traffic allowance:

  • Location: Germany, Netherlands, Poland or Finland
  • 2+ vCPU
  • 2–4 GB RAM
  • KVM preferred
  • 1 Gbps port preferred
  • Traffic: 10+ TB/month minimum, ideally around 30–50 TB/month

Storage is not important (20–50 GB is enough).

My main priorities are stable network, good routing towards Eastern Europe/Russia and reasonable pricing.

If you have a suitable offer, I would be glad to hear about it:

  • price
  • location/data center
  • traffic policy
  • test IP or looking glass (if available)

    Thanks, but their plans with the traffic I need are excessive in terms of hardware. That's why it's quite expensive.

    I think Starter plan for 11 EUR/mo would work for you, with additional 2TB bandwidth it will cost 13 EUR/mo.

    Hey @Riegel,

    The traffic side is the easy part here. There's no monthly allowance at all, no counter and no per-GB overage, so 10 TB and 50 TB cost the same. The port is 10 Gbps shared rather than 1 Gbps, and the only real constraint is that we don't sell sustained full line rate around the clock to a single VM.

    Our EPYC configurator in Eygelshoven, NL at 2 cores on AMD EPYC Zen 3 Milan with ECC DDR4, 4 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe in RAID 1 comes to 6.39€/mo, or 5.75€/mo with code LET10.

    On routing towards Eastern Europe and Russia I won't make claims, that depends too much on where exactly your traffic goes. Test it yourself before deciding - test IPv4 is 77.90.60.30, test IPv6 is 2a09:3f00:3000::cafe, and the looking glass at skrime.eu/network runs it from our side towards you.

    I absolutely have to add something to this info.

    I used to be a customer, ages ago (2010, domains, server etc). Had to create a new account as it got deleted after 10 years without active contract. I did attempt to aquire a server a couple days ago as i wanted to swap away from ionos (they raised the price).

    They require KYC. Done via stripe. I asked for alternatives, selfie with id.
    I offered them pictures of my utilies bill, letters from a district court, along side pictures of my view from my place.

    They deemed it as risky and do not want any business with me. So FWIW, i retract that

    For example, Vienna is a good choice for routing to Russia/CIS.

    The base price is €7.99 and includes 5 TB of traffic. An additional 50 TB of traffic can be added during the next step for around €20.

    In case 25 TB is sufficient -> @HostDZire (Leaseweb reseller). They have both, a DE and a NL location, really nice specs, 10 Gb/s. In case 25 TB isn't enough you just buy a second cheap VPS. Price per month is well below $4/mo IIRC.
