10 gbps at $175 a month? Is that just the port speed, or the bandwidth speed?

The acceptable use policy states that it also covers dedicated hardware.

Given that the hardware is dedicated, what does this mean for "resource-intensive crawling or scraping"?

Can one use the dedicated hardware or does it have to be [random percantage - 20/40/60] idle on average?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

For dedicated servers, there is no requirement to keep a certain percentage of the CPU or other resources idle. You are free to utilize the dedicated hardware you are paying for, including sustained high CPU usage.

The “resource-intensive crawling or scraping” portion of our AUP is primarily intended to prevent activity that negatively impacts our network, causes abuse complaints, or otherwise affects our infrastructure or other customers. It is not intended to impose an arbitrary CPU utilization limit on dedicated servers.

So, for example, running a workload at or near 100% CPU utilization on your dedicated server is perfectly fine as long as the activity itself remains compliant with our AUP and does not create network or abuse issues.

    Thanks!
