Leaseweb VPS had no issue. Only our own infrastructure was running on VMware, and that was what got affected.
BTW, if you check the news, this is not really limited to VMware. KVM had vulnerabilities before, and just a few days ago there were security issues involving both Proxmox Check and Virtualizor Check.
At this point, quite a few hosts have been affected by one platform or another.
But I get your point, and I’m not trying to convince you of anything here. I’m just saying that nothing is 100% safe these days. Cpanel, WHMCS, Plesk etc also had vulnerabilities and they released patches very frequently.
VMware, KVM, Proxmox, Virtualizor... vulnerabilities can happen anywhere.
So regardless of which host or platform you use, always keep your own backups. That is the only way to be 100% safe if something goes seriously wrong.
