Lots of providers do that, including some of the most solid ones I've had. And as NotFoundException says, that's because he's a sole trader.

please list the solid providers that do, that you trust with any sort to personal or sensitive data on that VPS. Like the saying goes you get what you deserve. Apple existed for a reason and you not buying Steve Jobs laptop and Steve Jobs iphone.
Sole trader aka cant do what the hell he wants and also disappear into the dust with not much expectations

Never said dont trust it, I just said use your brain a bit. There is no shortage of reputable brands to low life to some hey check out my name the whole hosting world wannabe host

Besides DeluxHost, the services I have where AS name contains their own name are:

    • Loclix on AS207590 ("Matteo Filiberto Sciacca trading as LocLix")
    • SVR4U on AS219206 ("BRANDON MAXWELL LOOI")
    • C1V Hosting on AS212271 ("Cinzia Tocci trading as Lumanex Srl")
    • Pipehost on AS64457 ("Matteo Fruhwald trading as PipeHost e.U.")
    • AVSISP on AS210464 ("ANDREW KRISTULI")
    • Aluy on AS211507 ("Julian Achter")

I trust several of those, although not all.

not some teenager running VPS in their parents basement
shouting their full name to the global routing table
wanna show you serious about doing business, you act like one not as a person
will not touch a first name and last name ASN with a 1 quadrillion foot pole

as mentioned good luck lads and gents

Oh so you only want the big names. Well I'm afraid you're lost and you're on the wrong forum.

Anyway, you clearly don't know what a sole trader is or why they're legally required to use their name.

    Have fun on Digital Ocean.

It might be that their storage VPSes are the ones having few problems, then.

Storage VPSs are basically useless right now. IOPS is sub 50 on writes and right at 100 for reads. You can't really do anything at those speeds.

  • So far not good, server load is minimum and 3 down times in a few days, and now down for a few hours.

Noob, mine were 20 days down I don't even complain.

  • worst provider ever. please, everybody, buy into this ponzie scheme as much as you can, you will be happy as long as you don't look behind the curtain.

the more they do it, the more dissatisfied customers will be there to fill up their next thread with advice not to buy into this crap. the more people will be saved from this awful provider. i personally feel like such a fool. supported, advocated, suffered thru june of ddos like a soldier, even bought in some more, just to realize they only care to sell, they do not respect their customers, especially loyal ones.

  • what can I say to Deluxsuckkkks?

  • maybe good idea add auto monitoring and autorestart vps
my vps again and again down
    Support ticket

    vps again down
    Open

    TMTPGG64L8HMB

  • It's really experiencing repeated outages. Whenever there's an issue, they issue a work order and have the VPS checked. They reply in a robotic-like manner. In less than a month, there have been four outages.

    And we are down again.

90.280% uptime during last 90 days unacceptable even for a lowcost hosting.

  • @stufently @youtoo @l0ser140 welcome to the happy family of deluxloss. please, share suggestions, - they will never be used, nothing will change. have fun, and most of all - do not expect shit. or expect shit.. i guess depends if your cup is full or empty..

  • I was a big advocate of DeluxHost for months. My server was working fine, within the limitations you’d expect from a €10-a-month server, but at least it was working.

Over the last two weeks, they’ve made me change my mind. The network is terrible; I’ve asked them 25,000 times to disable the firewall and the ticket is unreplied.

At the moment, I’d advise anyone thinking of signing up with DeluxHost to look for another option. Spend a bit more money, but make sure you go for something that actually works.

We have changed hundreds of IPs giving unprotected transit to many people, what you say seems very strange to me.

This is a matter of seconds, so is it more likely that your ticket didn't get a response?

I don't know if it can also be defined as a broken service by having DDoS protection to be honest.
