[WARNING] NoBanHost (nobanhost.com) — Assigned a non-routable IANA documentation IP (198.51.100.251)

Hey LET,
Posting this as a warning for anyone considering NoBanHost (nobanhost.com). I ordered a VPS from them on August 23rd, paid ~€19.89 in Ethereum. Here's what happened.
Timeline
- Aug 23 — Ordered IS-S plan (Iceland, KVM, 4GB RAM, 60GB NVMe, 1Gbps). Their site promises "VPS live in under 5 minutes".
- Aug 29 — VPS finally provisioned (6 days later).
- Aug 29–30 — Attempted to connect. Complete failure.
The IP they assigned me: 198.51.100.251
This is not a misconfigured server. This is not a firewall issue. This IP belongs to 198.51.100.0/24, which is IANA-reserved as TEST-NET-2 — a documentation-only range explicitly marked as Globally Routable: False.
ping 198.51.100.251
→ 357 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss
ssh [email protected]
→ Network is unreachable
traceroute:
1 192.168.1.254
2 194.149.162.224 !N ← Network Unreachable at ISP level
BGP check on 198.51.100.0/24: not visible in the global routing table. No ASN is announcing this prefix. The prefix is listed as IANA on bgp.he.net.
This IP was never reachable from the internet. Period.
Support: completely broken
Their panel throws "you need an account" when trying to open a ticket — despite being logged in. Their system is no-KYC/token-based, so there's no email attached to escalate through. No way to reach them.
Domain: registered August 13, 2026
nobanhost.com was registered 17 days before I'm writing this. Yet their site claims to have been founded in 2025, shows reviews dated early 2026, and has pages marked "Last updated: May 4, 2026" — all predating the domain itself. No trace of a previous domain anywhere.
Warrant canary: dead
Their canary page (nobanhost.com/fr/canary) shows:
Issued: 2026-05-01 — Next update: 2026-06-01
Their own canary states: "if the date is more than 40 days in the past, consider the canary dead." Today is August 30, 2026. That's 121 days without an update.
Summary of red flags
| Element | Status |
|---|---|
| Domain age | 17 days at time of purchase |

I have the Ethereum TXID, screenshots of the dashboard, and all the technical output. Happy to share if needed.
Stay away from these guys.

OK that's actually hilarious.
yes iguess , lol
Can't be banned if there's no route to the internet to begin with.
yes XD
You definitely should have done the research before paying. I'd say a 14 day old domain claiming to be a year old with a broken warrant canary that only takes a payment method that you can't charge back in is a red flag. Not to mention their name.
But being assigned a TEST-NET-2 address is just fucking hilarious. If you can connect via VNC, that means they went to the trouble of actually setting up infrastructure for a VPS rather than just taking your money and running.
You know, given what's presented on the website, alongside the
Does tell everything one needs to know.
Thats even weirder than what I offer for certain individuals and I don't even charge anything, lol.
No buttons work on the customer panel : Check this out:

@anonymous3 Give
tcpdump -i any -c 50a run and post the output if/when it finishes (I hope tcpdump is preinstalled). There might be other (working) traffic on the subnet that could give you a hint about their network configuration. There's a chance, albeit a small chance, that you could give yourself a working IP.Now I do wonder if they present the same thing to everyone or if they actually fake different setups
Good uptime. No ipv6?
Damn, so you don't even know if a VPS was provisioned at all? I thought you were given a VPS but the network was broken. Welp, yeah it's a plain scam then and they couldn't even be assed to lie about having some real ASN.

buying one more air block 20$ ETH to see if the ACAN-2 ip changed
lol
@anonymous3 it seems to be related to other similar scam sites, although this one is pretty new:

ps. i sent you a dm
This is as funny ad the non-routable IP. This MUST be a 16 year old hosting in their mom's basement based on their understanding of how law enforcement works. I didn't incorporate, so they can't raid me!
EDIT: I see that no server was actually provisioned and that this is just a scam.
domain: $10.88
web hosting: free
infrastructure: free
profit: thousands of $ from morons
Nah it's just a straight-up vibe-coded scam.
To be honnest, i really didn't verify anything before purchasing, i'm okay with money, i can "spent" lot and "loss" a lot. I'm looking forwad to buy a vps/vds in Iceland with unmetered bandwidth, NoBanHost seemed to be the most accurate one. so i bought, and get Scammed
I dont think even that. The funny part is already all those promises, one would expect from a commercial host, but that line obviously make all that crap null and void as its unenforcable in any shape or form. Thats already the sign of, scam.
I gotta give you props for taking this like a champ rather than bitching and complaining to us like most people do.
Why Iceland btw? If you're looking for DMCA-lenient hosting, there are better places than Iceland and we've got a lot of hosts here who could fit your needs for cheap. And the best part is they come with routable IPs! Quite a few hosts here will accept cryptocurrency payments and don't do KYC. They just don't advertise themselves as "DMCA-ignored bulletproof no-KYC anonymous offshore private crypto hosting that won't ban you!" and instead use names like "Aluy" or "AlexHost".
Oh aight, nah to be honnest that's useless to champ. I prefer to report there the problem, having money doesn't 100% percent come with Selfish. I prefer that people avoid this scam, and go away. ahah
I'm looking for VPS in Iceland since i'm moving forward to Reykjavik in few months, so i'l migrate soon my own infrastructure, and having a showcase of the current internet status there would be cool
I can sell those.
No panel however as tokens too expensive to even vibe-code placeholder.
Only crypto payment.
Unlimited BW.
Unlimted CPU.
Unlimited RAM.
i invited you in PM so
Then you're pretty much limited to 1984hosting or FlokiNET if you want privacy-friendly no-KYC hosting there.
Dude...
I looked for, but seems to still be metered bandwidth
Hmm but no disk? 🤔
He really did PM me.
He never learns.
Not enough red flags in that post :-D
live is fun, isn't? x)
