Well, quite the circumstance im in. So far, i really had nothing bad to say about the services. The server in the netherlands been solid so far, when we exclude the well known issues that occured. Would still say, if you need something, get one there.

The D Series i aquired, quite the different story. Worked well enough yesterday noonish, but since yesterday night oh boy, this has fallen into an a category ive never had to classify something in, absolutely unusable.

Ive never seen io errors while update in the package manager, constant timeouts on https connections. By default well over 30% package loss. I dared to reboot the server and its been trying to decrypt the disk for well over 1 hour by now.

Not a huge loss, the couple bucks, but holy moly, i wont even bother opening a ticket about that one, just let it run out.

That said, if somebody knows of a cheapish provider that hosts somewhere in germany that peers with DTAG directly, let me know. I literally just need it as reverse proxy for 1 Website, for when DTAG is refusing to route residential to my other server in germany.

Thank God another person is sharing similar experience. Few days the VPS will make you smile but another day soon it will be as if you should kick the VPS if it is a physical object. I don't know what other experience but currently only the W-SERIES giving joy for some weeks now. Those D SERIES AND F-SERIES VPS are very slow when using as VPN server and the internet connection is stopping constantly on repeat. I want to purchase 3 VPS for a friend right now. I already got another VPS source but it just US data center only but we need random VPS data centers

Well... I did get suspended once for exceeding the FUP, but the FUP is so generous anyway that I was happy to reduce my usage to stay in line!

But I do want to say I am one of the satisfied customers. Yes, there have been problems that I wouldn't tolerate from a more pricey "premium" provider, but for the price it's quite good. All the problems are intermittent and ultimately fixed.

Glad to hear that things work for you, I envy you. I was very happy, too. The very first VPS I got with them was my overall favorite for almost a year. Then came the DDoS attack. They weathered that one ok, that was unfortunate, could perhaps have been handled a bit better, but overall agree, ok for the price.

However, I've had network issues ever since the DDoS attack, i.e., for over two months now, from one to the other to the next, sometimes IPv4 not fully working, then IPv6. Things got better gradually at each iteration, but still not fixed. Ticket currently once again in "waiting" state for almost a week now.

In addition, high steal. My VPSes with four vCores usually got around 200% steal, the one with two around 100%. I.e., only half of the cores usable (I only actually need a single one, maybe a bit more sometimes - what I need is responsiveness). I had been looking forward to their repeated promises to look into this from their end, didn't want to pile on by raising another individual ticket, they got more of those than they can handle already.

Now that review, and the fixing finally happened, supposedly - and things have gotten even worse. My super-low-end OVZ and LXC VPSes half-way around the globe have more performance, and are more responsive than 4 vCores in Amsterdam today.

Not sure what to do anymore. Based on past experience, raising another ticket is pretty much pointless, unless I want to spend even more time and resources on this, with questionable outcome. This stuff already cost me in spent resources many-fold the money I paid them. I fear it is time to face reality, and stop throwing more good resources into the same seemingly bottom-less pit that the bad resources went into before them.

I am happy that, according to them, things work well for most of their customers. Not sure what I did wrong to be among those that have all the issues that are supposed to be just singular cases. Doesn't change the fact that I am facing those issues, with no hope they'll ever get fixed, extrapolating from past experience. So I guess I am calling it quits now, and focus on more productive things.

    Good luck!

It might be that their storage VPSes are the ones having few problems, then.
