    It would be interesting to check this VM, the IPv4 results are quite anomalous.

    @edmarhub can you please send me the IP?

    Is there any customer service available ?
    Just ordered a server , something went wrong with the payment and the support told me I should pay again ?
    Even if it was already charged ?
    Seriously?

    This is the server i was asking for refund because of constant downtime and the support doesn't know what to do on why 10Gbps port has this result!

    I couldn't agree more, the server is practically unusable plus with the constant downtime 😳

  • Another DeluxHost promotion and once again the same pattern: an unrealistically low price, excellent specifications on paper and promises that look far better than the service customers may receive afterward.

    Do not be fooled by the number of cores, RAM and NVMe storage offered for a few euros per year. Those specifications are worthless when the VPS suffers from high CPU steal, unstable performance, endlessly delayed support tickets, and customers receive excuses about FUP, shared resources, DDoS attacks or “thousands of satisfied customers” instead of actual solutions.

    This is not one isolated incident or one unhappy user. The same picture has repeatedly appeared on LET: performance problems, unavailable services, chaotic support, unclear actions involving accounts and VPSs, followed by yet another promise that everything will improve. Then, instead of resolving existing customer problems first, another aggressive promotion is launched to collect new orders.

    A low price does not excuse everything. A budget VPS may be slower, but it should still work, be billed correctly and not require a fight to receive basic support. Continuing to sell new packages while complaints keep repeating does not build confidence. It suggests that collecting new payments is being prioritised over fixing the problems of existing customers.

    My advice is simple: do not store anything important there. No only copy of your data, no critical services and no system whose failure could cost you time or money. A complete independent off-site backup is mandatory.

    DeluxHost should be treated at most as a disposable test VPS that may become unusable at any moment. For anything serious, it is better to pay more for a provider that can actually be trusted.

    A cheap offer is not a bargain when the real price is wasted time, frustration and the risk of losing data.

    nice long paragraph. but i do think the pricing is okay for the specs, especially yearly, since most providers offer v4 or similar for under $20/year. the only things i see are the downtime and some dashboard issues with customers. support is okay, but replies are delayed. they clearly mention “promotional shared-resource vps intended for lightweight and general purpose workloads. fair-use limits apply.”

    if you need uptime and reliability, don’t use this. for my use case, it’s good for testing projects.

    I'd really like to agree with you, but unfortunately, when I read inaccuracies put there specifically to gratuitously attack us, i’m really sorry.

    So let's proceed point by point:

    1) When have we ever made excuses regarding our FUP?

    2) DDoS attacks, are we seriously talking about a problem that was solved two months ago, if not more, in September? You should be happy that we managed to do it while still keeping prices low. I don't see the point of bringing this up.

    3) Aggressive promotions? They're simply restocking existing offers, small restocks, not massive ones, because we know how much we can handle.

    4) Our Customer satisfaction cannot be based on the negative experiences of a few people on forums, because taking this into account, providers much larger than us would all be rubbish?

    We're the first to say that these are not VPSs for hosting critical and important data on such cheap servers, not so much because of the possibility of data loss, which exists everywhere, but because they simply don't offer the level of performance reliability to do so.

    Despite this, I can say that we are fully aware of some issues and are addressing them one by one. And no, we're not talking about dramatic network problems, but rather things we can definitely fix. The first thing remains the support we're expanding, with tickets that unfortunately sometimes get forgotten unintentionally or responses from our upstream teams are overly lengthy, further delaying our processes. The stealing issue in some nodes, as mentioned, is real and is being resolved.

    When the situation was really desperate in June, they gave us up for dead, and we received the worst messages every day from people here on LET and many forums. Now that those problems have been resolved, at great expense to us, nobody cares, and it's constantly brought up as a topic to talk about how "crappy" we are. The funny thing is, those same people then buy or continue to renew from us.

  • @DeluxHost

    Thank you for confirming my warning instead of disproving it.

    You called my post inaccurate and a gratuitous attack, but in the very same reply you admitted that:

    • support tickets are sometimes forgotten;
    • support and upstream responses can be excessively delayed;
    • CPU steal on some nodes is real;
    • these VPSs do not provide enough performance reliability for important workloads.

    Those are not my inventions. Those are your own admissions.

    Changing “aggressive promotion” to “small restock” is merely semantics. You are still accepting new orders while existing customers in this very thread are reporting constant downtime, practically unusable servers, payment problems, missing bonuses and abandoned VPSs because contacting support no longer feels worthwhile.

    The old DDoS incident was mentioned as part of a repeated history of problems and explanations, not as a claim that the same attack is still happening today. Solving one incident does not erase everything that happened before or invalidate customers’ experiences afterward.

    The claim that thousands of customers are satisfied also changes nothing. A large number of customers does not make forgotten tickets, recurring downtime or overloaded nodes acceptable. Larger providers having complaints is irrelevant as well. What matters is the frequency of problems, their severity and how the provider handles them.

    A low price may justify limited resources. It does not justify forgetting support tickets, unreliable performance, repeated downtime or expecting customers to accept a barely usable service because it was inexpensive.

    Your response does not refute the warning. It confirms its central point and attempts to present the admitted failures as acceptable limitations of a cheap service.

    So the warning remains unchanged: DeluxHost may be suitable for disposable tests, but customers should not trust it with anything important. Keep independent backups, expect inconsistent performance and be prepared for delayed or forgotten support tickets.

    These conclusions now come not only from customer reports, but directly from DeluxHost’s own response.

    Props to @DeluxHost for stepping in even after the refund, they gave me an extra 64 122 days today. The 2 CPU / 4GB RAM T3 plan is finally running smoothly. Hoping it stays this way!

    Nice, great upgrade.

    @DeluxHost said: It would be interesting to check this VM, the IPv4 results are quite anomalous.

    What was the issue for those IPv4 results? Will it be a concern going forward?

  • Well, quite the circumstance im in. So far, i really had nothing bad to say about the services. The server in the netherlands been solid so far, when we exclude the well known issues that occured. Would still say, if you need something, get one there.

    The D Series i aquired, quite the different story. Worked well enough yesterday noonish, but since yesterday night oh boy, this has fallen into an a category ive never had to classify something in, absolutely unusable.

    Ive never seen io errors while update in the package manager, constant timeouts on https connections. By default well over 30% package loss. I dared to reboot the server and its been trying to decrypt the disk for well over 1 hour by now.

    Not a huge loss, the couple bucks, but holy moly, i wont even bother opening a ticket about that one, just let it run out.

    That said, if somebody knows of a cheapish provider that hosts somewhere in germany that peers with DTAG directly, let me know. I literally just need it as reverse proxy for 1 Website, for when DTAG is refusing to route residential to my other server in germany.
