You can run yabs and skip the CPU and network tests and test storage speed only as shown.

If I have a storage service, what I would care about if I get satisfactory real world speeds.
It's a primarily private service, so testing network between global destinations tells you nothing about how well the network works for you. YABS also only benchmarks disk speeds up to 1 M files, which means that the file sizes that 98% of people upload aren't tested.
More importantly, like the majority of shared services like this, there are LVE limits. Running YABS will quickly trigger a throttle that'll degrade the results.
It may just be me that feel that way though. I haven't ever considered benchmarking a cloud storage solution. I'd base my conclusion on my real experience with it.
@labze Can you give me some insight into how much your normal VPS plans are oversold? Storagebox is obviously much more oversold so I don’t really care about that.

In this case I just did it because I saw a claim that I knew was bullshit and since I remember the yabs command line switches it was just the fastest way to dispute with data in a format that forum members are used to interpreting. Personally I've never had issues with speeds in that regard.

I'm not sure what you base the obviously oversold statement on. The storage box services as a whole is probrably the hosts that is least utilised. For most, it's just a backup and forget kind of service.
Just to give a example. ftpde1 which is considered full has an average of 15% CPU usage and under 20% RAM usage.
DirectAdmin exposes server load to all accounts so it's always possible to check as a client if the system is struggling.

I don't think that's a loaded question. Virtually all nodes, except those intended for VDSes, will have some overselling, and careful, controlled overselling is a resource optimization, not a bad thing.
A 1.2x vCPU overselling ratio is really good for example and you'll see virtually no CPU steal, whereas a 4x vCPU overselling ratio is something you'll only see on ServerHost or VPS.TC's most crowded nodes.
If you overprovision storage space, you'll have ample time to notice when the storage space is getting full and you'll have more than enough warning to add a disk or two to the array.
It's not like doing the same with RAM (where you'll run into CPU ballooning) or doing it too much with CPU (where you can get unexpected steal).

It's basic troubleshooting for when real world performance is noticeably shit. Knowing whether there's a network or storage bottleneck is useful data.
What limit will be triggered and throttled? Given large transfers take many times longer to finish, this is important to know.
You could check some of the smaller European storage providers. They often have 1TB+ HDD plans with SSD caching for less than S3 storage. Just check the bandwidth and whether you can add more storage later.
