"Put me on the waitlist for #11 then! πŸ˜‚

Jokes aside, I know it's a stretch for active inventory, but this is specifically aimed at providers with old/decommissioned surplus hardware gathering dust in the rack.

If $25 is strictly impossible, providers are welcome to PM or post the closest deal they have sitting idle."

"Appreciate the humor, guys! Just putting a line out for idle/surplus rack inventory that providers might want offloaded.

If you're a provider and have a close clearance node gathering dust, hit me up with what you actually have near this budget."

Nothing is impossible but 99.99% chance no one is offering that server for that price, maybe need to 4-5x your budget to start getting some offers in

Can you write your posts yourself? And not have some LLM come up sad attempts at humor...

There is not one provider that has anything near this "gathering dust" and willing to rent it out at $25/mo.

These are what you can realistically afford: https://eco.ovhcloud.com/en/?display=list&range=kimsufi&prices=11.1|30

The closest thing you will get for that budget is the KS-STOR which has xeon d-1521, 16gb of ram and 1x500GB nvme + 4x4TB HDD for $26.60+$26.60 setup fee (btw there is one in stock in canada right now)

@Mevspace has an outlet line with some Ryzen CPUs in stock:
    https://mevspace.com/dedicated-servers/outlet

Although Natalia would need to find some HDD to fit your requirements and the price won't be 25 eur/month of course.

    Thanked by 1mans_xd
  • thanks for the comments but my requirements stand as stated if any provider has this exact configuration or equivalent hardware sitting on clearance send me a direct message with your offer

You keep dreaming, dream on, dream until your dream comes true,

I see it says you basically just joined so I'm going to assume you're as green as an avocado, if you think you're going to get anything that you could do anything real at that budget, you are absolutely dreaming low price does not mean bargain, sometimes low prices is just crap Stuck to the bottom of a barrel

Unfortunately, my friend, you lack experience. I have complete knowledge of this, and I know the offer you presented isn't easy, but it's possible. If you don't realize this, it's due to your lack of experience, not a dream. In any case, I hope only those who have my request will reply. Thank you very much.

I guarantee you that nobody has Ryzen 9 3900X, 2TB NVMe, 64GB DDR4 ECC in their
"old decommissioned" side rack somewhere. I'm even willing to bet $100 for that -
with one simple condition - I get the first server for this price, paid triennially.

The company's price of $84 is a good starting point. If you offered it for $25, they would still profit from it being idle and generating no revenue.

Many large data centers offer similar services. Furthermore, data centers typically acquire servers at significantly lower prices than you are currently offering. Therefore, the specifications you requested at $25 per month are acceptable, but not all companies will agree to this price, as their goal is high profit margins, not small ones.

Therefore, please only reply if you have what I'm looking for. Thank you.

Walking into a steakhouse, pointing at an $84 Ribeye, and offering $25 because 'it’s just sitting in your fridge making $0 anyway' is peak clown behavior

  • I have already contacted several companies and they are reviewing the offer, but I am looking for more effective companies.

  • Many data centers, you fools, don't display these prices publicly or to ordinary people; they only show them to other companies that own a company. That's why the dealings are different. If you're unaware of this, you're fools. Therefore, only official companies should respond. Thank you.

'Several companies are reviewing the offer' = support staff screenshotted your ticket and is currently laughing at it in their internal Slack channel

Cost for the colocation power and bandwidth is more than your $25 budget. You will have a hard time even if you owned the equipment to get colocation that price.
