  • Depends how long your host can exist.

    We don’t plan to support IPv6 before October next year.

    We don’t think you’ll exist until October next year.

    We do not publicly disclose detailed host-node information, exact datacenter addresses, internal network topology, upstream or IXP arrangements, BGP configuration, hardware inventory, or physical security layouts.

    Cross referencing the summer host checklist, this provider meets the following conditions:

    • They rent everything and own nothing: they will vanish when their hardware and IPv4 space bills come due.
    • They completely ban custom ISOs on KVM plans: they are over-allocating their nodes and hiding a broken control panel.
    • They do not list a real data center name or address: your data is probably located in a basement guarded by two very scary dogs.
    • They lack a clear policy on persistent CPU and port blasting: neighbors will crash the infrastructure by Halloween.
    • They refuse to publish YABS benchmark data: they are hiding weak hardware that will melt under summer heat.

    KoaNode is a project of our group company. As long as the group company continues operating, the project will continue as well.

  • And I still wonder what hardware you run. Is it hard to disclose this information?

    Projects get axed as companies continue operating, just ask google how many project got the axe there, it's well over 250 to 290 projects that got cancelled. Not even google knows how many.

    This project will not last long, a few months at most. If not weeks.

    Yes, that is another project associated with the same group company. I want to be transparent about that.

    The VPN apps are managed by another team within the company, while I manage K.N Cloud. K.N Cloud is a separate cloud service with its own infrastructure, billing, and operations.

    I’m not asking you to judge K.N Cloud based on the VPN apps. Please judge K.N Cloud by its own service and track record. You are welcome to check back in a month and see how we are doing.

    @ascicode

    Google does not index every Chinese company or private group company, especially when the company or project is new and has limited international exposure.

    K.N Cloud is operated by our group company, but our online presence is still limited because the service is new. You are welcome to judge us by the service itself and check back in a month to see whether we are still operating.

    @ScrewedUp

    As we say in China, “time reveals character.” Let’s wait and see. We’ll let the service speak for itself.

    A quick clarification following a recent customer question:

    The following three IPs are provided for ping, traceroute, and basic latency testing only:

    US-MIA: 64.81.171.254
    DE-FRA: 179.61.225.254
    NL-AMS: 179.61.241.254

    These Test IPs are permanently reserved for testing and will not be assigned to any customer instance.

    Customer instances receive separate IP addresses through the normal provisioning process.

    Please do not use the Test IPs for stress testing or continuous throughput testing.
