Just rebooted all three affected VPSes, still the same. Looks like inbound traffic stops noticeably before reaching the VPS. E.g.,

Just rebooted all three affected VPSes, still the same. Looks like inbound traffic stops noticeably before reaching the VPS. E.g.,

There's currently an ongoing incident in Core-Backbone's network which is likely related (all my VMs with AS47277 transit cannot reach a few networks, specially in Russia)

Actually, after some initial issues in the very beginning over a year ago, I had been quite happy. The outage around the DDoS attack arguably is something they couldn't do much about other than what they did. But once that subsided/was fixed, IPv4 for my services was broken and unusable, and it took well over a month to get fixed (not in a matter of minutes, as DeluxHost suggested not long ago in this thread). And after it had finally been fixed, as well as almost another ten days for IPv6 that was broken in the process of fixing IPv4, IPv4 is broken again just a few days in. And what continues to be vexing is the continued deflection and delay tactics via useless boilerplate responses such as "reboot the machine", rather than taking the issue seriously and actually looking into it. Next thing that'll probably be asked for is access to the VPS when it seems rather clear the issue is elsewhere... I guess that is where I get what I paid for... Though I have quite a few services where I pay as much, or even less, with a fraction of the drama.

Honestly, I don't see any general downtime or problems with IPv4 or IPv6 right now. The problem is probably on a specific subnet, which is where we're seeing it now. It's not a matter of delaying things on purpose or pretending nothing happened, but you should also understand that yesterday was a holiday, and not everyone on the team was available. Despite this, we still worked with our upstream team to resolve some issue with them.

Now we'll see what's wrong and keep you updated.

If not the case already, to manage expectations can I suggest you have some information on your website on working hours (especially support) and any upcoming vacation/reduced support team?

We had an option on whmcs that will be added to the new billing soon. Since it's a national holiday in Italy, the team isn't completely absent and remains available for emergencies, but unfortunately in a reduced form compared to usual, and this of course can cause delays on tickets for example

  • atklatkl Member

Maybe could be useful to have it also in the ticket/support section?

I understand you see this as individual thing. For me, it is part of a pattern as consequence of which I have not been able to use my VPSes properly for most of 2 1/2 months now. Granted, this might be a singular thing now, but how am I to know that the reaction now is only due to the holiday, and not the pattern of deflection and delays experienced for weeks before that? The other way round, are you saying there's been holiday ever since the DDoS subsided? How am I to tell the difference?

Anyway, appreciate you looking into this now, looking forward to a swift resolution.

Deluxhost team disappointed me at last. Your VPS had just being doing connecting not connecting with super slow internet speed in my VPNs. I created series of tickets over 48 hours your team didn't even reply my tickets. These happened to my W-Series too about 10 days ago and I created tickets too which your team didn't reply for more than 2 days, they only reply after I noticed the error already fixed on the VPSs. Now I'm having the same issue on all my F and D series too but the same pattern of not replying for 2 days is happening again. I remembered someone was calling our attentions to how your team used to stylishly ignore tickets for days then later reply after your team knew the problem is temporarily fixed on your VPS but I ignorantly argue against the person then. This act of ignoring tickets till after error is fixed temporarily is not good enough for your reputation s. These error of connecting not connecting is re-ocurring constantly on your VPS series time to time this year. It is either you fix it permanently or make your team always available for usual temporary fix at least for us to finish our 1 year services we currently have with your company so that our money will not waste completely just like that. Imagine I'm just seeing similar complaints again here after I posted my comments. I had to re edit the comment not knowing people who know much about VPS are already here complaining similarly. Common slow DNS VPN I use the VPS for. It is few days good connection good speed and after few days again internet connection will turn to super slow or no Internet access at all, pick and drop network again and again. W-series last week this week D and F series again.

What is this supposed to mean...?

There's no point spamming tickets, and it'll just result in slower support, or none at all.

My SC GB6 score is now down to 266.
I am really wondering what @DeluxHost is doing about it, especially at a point where migration requests to another node seem not helpful any more. Of course, we all know this is shared resources at a very low price (that's why we signed up at your company), but service degration should not render the VPS unusable for simple tasks like serving a static website.

The situation seems to be solved for my case since yesterday. If I interpret my log files correctly, my machine was migrated to different node yesterday twice in a row and now performance is almost back to what it used to be (GB6 SC 466). Steal is also now at 5-10%, which is acceptable for me.

a small update, the subnet with 46. actually seems to still have connectivity problems, we are waiting for a definitive fix from our upstream, on our side unfortunately we can not do anything, for those who have emergencies and want we can change IP free of charge and if necessary put it back later

  • @DeluxHost everything out of stock?

  • Requested cancellation of all 9 out of 24 services, which are coming up for renewal. Might keep 2 out the total 24... Let that statistic tell the story.

Unfortunately, the performance issues are back again. Meanwhile it is so bad, such that the kernel stalls at least once per hour (RCU stall). Now, I am also monitoring (according to AI suggestion) steal and in parallel the kernel stalls.

It seems that steal peaks of over 70% cause my whole VM to stall. The VPS is not usable at the moment, because ally serices go nuts in case of kernel soft lockups.

    What to do?
