    totally unstable service provider. they answer tickets every 3 days they are over sale. their ddos protection has many bogs, it blocks many ports by defalt if you remove the port it will block ports again. i am not recommending using this provider.

    if you want to run a service and go be sure you should come back soon to reboot ro make a ticket that your service is not working, and they will answer their tickets after 3 or 4 days

    i'm sorry for your experience, but if DDoS protection was giving you problems, you can always request an IP without protection and the problem was solved in a few minutes.

    @forest @bchot was steal fixed?

    your steal beats my steal.. but on average i only use like 2% of my 1vCPU.. wireguard needs little compute.

    so far i've had 1 VPS migrated and steal was fixed (and is now nearly zero). thanks, @DeluxHost it only took 3 weeks since you offered migration.

    i started tickets mid july with 7 of my 9 VPS hitting extreme steal values (20-40% constant, 60-70% peak), so far 4 of them kinda got to acceptable steal values of up to 10%, so i am fine with those for now.

    2 more VPS renewal is coming up, they are currently at 20-30% steal, 50-60% peak. as i mentioned, it's now in the hands of @DeluxHost, if they fix steal - i will renew those 2. I have a separate ticket about it, which i started 10 days ago by confirming that 1 VPS they migrated is currently well good. then i brought up 2 of these and their metrics. so it seems that it's been migrated 2 more times in the last 10 days, because 1 admin there does not read the actual ticket, my replies or replies of other admins, it's a fucking disaster... so he said "i migrated your server", i said "seeing no changes", so he said "how about i migrate your server to another node", i said "ok", he migrated and it appears he did so to the one VPS that was "fixed" 10 days ago... not the 2 that are the main subject of any of my posts. i should have caught the issue when he was saying "server" instead of plural "servers", but i chugged it to him being not native english speaker.. turns out he's not a good english reader either.. it's a fucking circus..

    @DeluxHost you fix - i renew. you don't fix - i renew nothing in the future, no matter how low steal is or will be.

  • My steal is very volatile. Some hours about 2%, sometimes 40%. It's not very good since performance is sometimes half of what it should be (GB6 SC 550 -> 330)

  • My SC GB6 score is now down to 266. This is worse than my 7 year old Raspberry Pi 4. Even if I don't have so nice plots as @bchot, my observation is similar: steel got too large, although I am on another node. Also, as @bchot and @forest my VPS is mostly idle, but if it serves a webpage, the delay is too large currently.

    I am really wondering what @DeluxHost is doing about it, especially at a point where migration requests to another node seem not helpful any more. Of course, we all know this is shared resources at a very low price (that's why we signed up at your company), but service degration should not render the VPS unusable for simple tasks like serving a static website.

    this reminds me of time when i was 20.. i was looking for weed in New York. some guys i found really ripped me off, sold me half the amount i asked for double the price. they didn't care for my continued business, they only wanted to cheat me this 1 time and be done with it. why? because New York is huge. and they had a lot of customers to rip off. very simple yet efficient model.

    exactly what's going on here. @DeluxHost doesn't care about helping existing established customers. they would rather rip off new ones, because they have attractive offers and many people here are looking for such, plus internet has virtually unlimited supply of new customers.

    yesterday @DeluxHost's Alessandro Fiorenza assured me he didn't try to migrate the 1 server where steal has been resolved. and closed the ticket without helping me with the actual problem described multiple times in that ticket. today i opened 3rd and last ticket. no resolution this time - no more continued support from me.

    Well, like a country printing money to try to solve its financial problems and in the end devalue the money itself. Seems Deluxhost to go in the same direction by devaluing (performance) their VPS by extreme overbooking. The 40-60% steal I see on some of my VPS is not acceptable :/ .

    I bought a regular VPS-1 plan, and it still has Steal CPU, plus IPv6 isn't working. I filed a ticket a few days ago with detailed logs stating that everything was configured correctly on my end, but their router was blocking me. The only response I got was "give me access to the server." Ticket number: #TMSMX3IPT6N1A
