Talking about StackSocial's lifetime shared hosting deals

I wanted to share my experience with the so-called lifetime deals for shared hosting in StackSocial.
As you probably know, StackSocial is a web with (mostly) virtual cheap bargains like VPN and other services, and you can add discount coupons like for adding your email to the newsletter. Besides that web, there several clones I dont remember.
In November 2021 I got a pretty good lifetime hosting deal with iBrave, as you can see:
It was working fine until May 2024, so it was suppossedly to be taken over by 20i company, but in the end, I did not receive any email to trespass the account.
In other words, the "lifetime" monthly cost was: $0.61 ($18.15 ÷ 29.53 months) does it worth?
I don't feel it is worth specially if you got projects that are serious and you need to continue; it wasnt the case since I only used it to storage small files.
Nonetheless, I must be masochist of something since I am trying HostNirvana for the same purpose...
So far they are OK, we had some issues with the account but they replied quickly... I wonder if they will betray my again lol
what are your thoughts about these "deals"? one reason I went for it was the accumulated points you get after purchase so you pay less

mostly stacksocial deals end up in scamming customers particularly those lifetime deals on web hosting, vpn, and other digital services/products. I will rather avoid.
Yes and no, BulletVPN I got from them since 2019 I think and still working.
The problem is in the service, not in Stacksocial? I did a quick search and it seems there were more affected users in this forum and also online. Funny thing is iBrave guys still with their business offering the lifetime deal in StackSocial, someone should complain to StackSocial for including such a scammy service!
It does not look like you can buy that anymore.
I took on at discounted rates a lot of iBrave clients on one time fee accounts when they first closed, I spoke with 20i at the time and arranged a number of direct transfers rather than make clients download data and then upload under my reseller 20i allowed the customers to contact them directly to arrange the push of accounts.
I don't understand why people go with lifetime deals when shared hosting prices are so low that $8/year can get you decent quality shared hosting that's even better than stackcp, and if you only want stackcp, they're less than $8/year.

as for your transfer, I should have done the same instead of waiting 20i guys to contact me as promised, anyway, it is not professional lying about being contacted and the need to take action oneself

Stacksocial is great pre 2020, plenty of deals from not scammy company there. Windscribe, keepsolid, cyberghost etc. I think simplelogin even got deals there when they're small before proton acquired them. I still got my keepsolid account still chuggin along fine from 2018.
Its not great anymore since 2020 something, scammy shell summer company come and go there. The rule of thumb with "lifetime" stacksocial deal is to screenshot everything, the deal page, the cart page etc. If the 3rd party fuck you over, you contact stacksocial direct, they usually will side on you and offer their store credit. Not direct refund, but its something.
We posted on social media as much at the time but 20i did not want to advise of us since they asked people to sign up directly on their pay monthly packages.
