Does increasing resources work with your fixed plans?

Looks like I was wrong about pulsedmedia.
Yesterday I used RustFS, which is a very lightweight alternative to MinIO, and left it connected to my other server that runs JetBackup..
Today I was surprised to find that the seedbox services had completely stopped. After checking the reports, it turned out that the server itself has around 30 other users besides me, and their resource usage ended up affecting and disabling the services I was running..
The seedbox isn't KVM or OpenVZ..
It's a single shared system where each user gets a limited account with restricted permissions..
Even cPanel and DirectAdmin isolate users properly, but this setup doesn't. We all share the same resources and files..
So I definitely wouldn't recommend using it for a production environment.
As they state, it's mainly intended for torrents and VPN..
Be careful about using it for any important or sensitive files..
This was my mistake..
I ended up going with alphavps.com and got 500GB of storage from them. I'll see how things go until tomorrow...

did you actually check those limits before buying though? 250MB RAM, 0.5 cores on lowest priority, 250GiB egress before it throttles. kinda the opposite of future proof ?.
Yes, the seedbox I have comes with 1GB RAM, and around 300MB is already fully used by their default services and RustFS..
I also tested running JetBackup, and it worked successfully..
The highest RAM usage I saw was:
Process: 376.52 MiB | Cache: 207.56 MiB
So basically around half of the RAM I have.
The CPU is 2 cores, and I have 1TB of storage.
As I mentioned, the problem is with the server itself, not the resources allocated to me.. We only have user accounts on the same server, sharing the same resources, basically like shared hosting, but it feels even weaker..
I'm not saying the company is bad. Quite the opposite, their internet speed was very fast.. It just seems that this particular service isn't suitable for what I want to use it for..
They clearly state that it's intended for torrents and VPN, so the load is mainly coming from the other users on the same server..
I don't blame the company at all; I blame myself for trying to use an S3-compatible service in an environment that isn't really designed for it..

I had Väinämöinen look at this, but i cannot give the response here as the admins shadow banned it.
You should setup a watchdog // cron to make sure your apps stay running, many applications are crashy. Logs would show up the reason why the application crashed.
Without knowing better your setup, cannot resolve it for you further. Obviously has nothing to do with RAM amount, and other users using the server heavily doesn't cause issue like that neither in any normal situation. So i would put most likely reason as; Maintenance reboot (ie. kernel update) OR software crashed.
Check the logs.

Please open a ticket and describe your issue with the best infromation you have.
It seems tho he may have been unlucky on provisioning, multiple heavy accounts at the same time, and priorities can only do so much when everyone shares same I/O priority ...
or the node has maintenance need. Regardless, you can always ask for reprovision and these eventually get handled. The spike of new sales on the eternal campaign does cause some slowdowns indeed, they are almost all ephemeral few weeks max.
BUT that does not cause applications to crash or shutdown, just become slow.

For the most part, I do work towards keeping the plans standard. However, I do try to accommodate when I can. On something like bandwidth, I can always see what I can do to adjust things.
