+1 to Hbrr and +1 to LevelOneServers and -1 to host-c

Hbrr:

We are sorry to let you know that our services in Finland will cease operations on the 1st of September 2026. This was not a decision we took lightly.
Finland was a location we had hoped to expand. Over the past year, hardware acquisition costs have risen sharply, in some cases to almost eight times what they were, which made those plans unviable without raising our prices considerably. The location serves only a small share of our active services and had little room to grow, so it never received the attention we would have liked, but it did sustain itself.

bla bla, AI shit probably, or whatever
here is how they handled it:

We are retiring the location, not your service. Starting on the 21st of August we will begin migrating active services to our location in Frankfurt, Germany, and your service will continue under the same terms as today
We handle the entire data migration for you. Your service will also come out of this better than it went in. It moves to much newer and more powerful hardware, and connectivity is upgraded from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps. This comes at no additional cost and your recurring price stays the same.

If your service currently runs on IPv4 NAT, this is a bigger change for the better. You will be given a dedicated IP address, which means the full port range becomes available to you and you no longer share ports with anyone else. SSH will then run on the standard port 22, so please update any saved connections, scripts or clients that still point at your old NAT port.

i dont need full ipv4, 3 ports is enough but thanks regardless?, other providers take notes.

i liked Finland but i'd rather have germany than no service, no backups, a headache etc
Props to Hbrr/Labze, give yourself a pat.

LeveloneServers:

Hello,
Your VPS has the following IP addresses:

  • 172.XXX

These IP addresses are in one or more subnets that are being removed from our network due to the IP broker selling them off.

New IP addresses were assigned to you:

  • 45.XXX

They will be applied once you stop and start the server from the control panel.
Please make sure to do it as your earliest convenience to prevent future service disruption.
Let us know if you have any questions by replying to the ticket.

"They will be applied once you stop and start the server from the control panel."
you stopped my server but never started... no big deal
the deal i got says in my entry "Deal from let, i bet his collegues hate him" 512gb hdd for 7$/y
works great and keeps my backups in remote area (US, i live in DE)
not a review, it will come in a year or so.
Should you get drunk again and offer more storage, let me know!

Host-C

We are writing to inform you that your HostSolutions Legendary Deal from the Grave – IPV6 Only promotional service will be discontinued.

Due to current market conditions and increased operating costs, we can no longer maintain this service. It will therefore be terminated at the end of its current prepaid billing period and will not be available for renewal.

SERVICE NON-RENEWAL DETAILS

Service: HostSolutions Legendary Deal from the Grave – IPV6 Only

Final service date: CURRENT BILLING END DATE

i hate migrating so, will not use Host-C anymore for any other services and will cancel my account as well.

Thanked by 2x1arch host_c

I'm (known to be) a big @host_c fan and a very happy customer of theirs, but No, I will not "assfuck" OP. And I have no reason. Host-c certainly has the right to make decisions for his business, plus we all know the current market situation; hardware prices massively risen, same with electrical power.
And OP merely spoke his mind and not even aggressively.

For me, if a host ends a limited deal within a year, it’s not a host I want to be with.

I understand times are tough, I understand argument for both sides, but running a limited promo, without a single renewal is just harsh.

I treat it no different to any other service, majority of service providers I’m with reward loyalty not punish it, arrangement’s can be made out-right cancellation is the devil’s work. No increased price, no reduced specs, no alternative node or location. Run a promo to get attention, and punish all those that got it, not good host in my book.

When we migrated from Cogent IPv4 space to Prefix Broker, I gave a month cutoff period when both were available and then cut off the Cogent IPv4 addresses.
