    Is the NVMe actually used as a cache for the HDD RAID-5 storage, or is it simply a separate NVMe disk/boot partition used for the OS?

    If it is a cache, which technology is used (e.g. ZFS/L2ARC, bcache, dm-cache, etc.)? Is it read-only, write-through, or write-back, and what cache policy is used?
