Looking for Affordable Dedicated Servers with Newer CPUs
Hello folks,
I’m looking for recommendations on where to find reasonably priced dedicated / bare-metal servers.
Ideally, I’m looking for something with:
- Newer CPU generation: roughly late 2022 or newer (AMD EPYC Zen 4, 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable, or later)
- DDR5 ECC RAM
- Datacenter-grade NVMe SSDs
- Around $140–300 USD/month (assuming >=128G RAM, 4T SSD); I’m flexible for higher-end or dual-socket systems
- At least a /64 IPv6 subnet; I don’t need IPv4
- PassMark CPU score above ~50K
Ability to install a custom OS/image, for example via:
- Remote IPMI/KVM with custom ISO
- iPXE/network boot
- Linux rescue environment where I can write a raw disk image directly
Reasonable add-on pricing for additional RAM, storage, bandwidth, etc.
- Support 10–200 Gbit/s LAN add-on would be preferred
- North America and Asia-Pacific are preferred, but other regions work as well.
