Need potato VDS in EU or close to it country | 2Tb+ bandwidth

Hello everyone!

I would like to find a deal for a VDS located in European Union or close to it country with random potato stats, don't care much about it because I need it only for a personal VPN

The only important thing is that it should have at least 50Mbps speed and at least 2Tb bandwidth for a month

My budget is $2 per month

    Thanks!
But I don't think I'm going to actually use this one considering how much I've seen bad reviews inside and outside of this forum about it being unstable

    For example: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/219375/deluxhost-fraud-terrible-vps-ignored-my-refund-request-attempted-to-charge-me-again/p1

  • I use @DeluxHost for VPN as well, and yes they are not very stable. But for a VPN you don’t need 24/7 uptime then it works out okay

Youll probably need to increase your budget.

If you're looking for a potato, are you looking for a VDS? Or would a VPS be fine?

Why a VDS? you can easily do that on a NAT VPS with less than $12/year

It sounds like you just need a basic VPS. Your budget is more than enough. VDS would be more expensive

VDS is just an ex-Soviet-Union-republic and Eastern Europe word for VPS. Otherwise does not mean anything different by itself. Has been discussed multiple times. Also sometimes used in Germany.

Buying or selling a "VDS" just means you are very very backwards and basically from a village. :)

(No, do not expect it to universally mean "VPS with dedicated specs", it's too polluted by the aforementioned cases of usage)

I appreciate you explaining OP's perspective, but he mistakenly thinks his budget needs to be increased because of the VDS/VPS confusion. To many people, a VDS is not the same as a VPS. I don't mean to come across as pedantic, just wanna help OP

For OP, many people here understand VDS as "Virtual Dedicated Server", and there's an additional cost for the "dedicated" aspect. You can easily find a VPS within your original budget

My bad. I read a long time ago that a VDS and a VPS were the same thing that it used to be called a VPS, and now it's usually called a VDS. I never really cared about the terminology since I usually just looked at the server's specs and price, not the name.

I just Googled it now... damn, I've been wrong for so long.

Consider @backtogeek 's tierhive, they got poland. $0.1-0.2/m (128MB-256MB instance). It's hourly billing, so if you turned it off, you're only charged for the storage

If you're happy to prepay, the below is $2.02/mo for 36 months with coupon code SAVETEN and $2.25/mo thereafter:

    55 GB SSD Space
    1 GB RAM
    1 CPU Core
    2 TB Bandwidth
    10 Gbps Port
    1 IPv4 Address
    /64 IPv6 Space

    Order link

The locations available are Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, Miami and New Jersey.

You can also get double Disk Space, CPU Cores or Bandwidth for no added cost, simply by commenting your order number over here.

Too bad, that means you're on blacklisted country e.g CN, RU, VN (I forgot whether it has been lifted or not). But, if you're only using it for few hours a day, consider hourly vps. @Nube @AliceNetworks @cloudblast @Advin @advinservers (soon)
