There was a ~day reprieve (31st) after this began ~2026-07-30 so maybe it'll clear up periodically so large transfers become reasonable... on a cadence. Will have to implement new repo day. LOL
..actual upload was 58MB, which normally would take ~minute or so with the borg overhead.

I expect the 'TACO' would help interactive and os speed (I currently have 7-9 mins from reboot to login prompt & 1 min from login until command prompt..) but that alone I wonder..

Understandably, there seems to be growing pains and adjustments with these offerings. I am refusing the 'change node' options for now since, while something to do, it isn't perhaps really more than a temporary fix.
The irony, large storage for large files, but moving in/out for now is painful for all but small files.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do some benchmarks, this info was very helpful. So currently what we are doing is evaluating a couple ways to improve the consistency on all the storage nodes so that the performance is more consistent and predictable. Such as possibly implementing resource limits, VM monitoring, and also such things as automatic email updates. For instance, when there are situations like a failed hard drive and the RAID disk array is rebuilding, to let customers know that there may be a performance drop while the RAID rebuilds. Some stuff like that we are working on and evaluating. We definitely appreciate the feedback, thank you very much!
