Is this VDS level performance?? AMD EPYC 9575F 6 cores 8 GB DDR5
I bought a VDS from a new provider recently, came with 8 dedicated vCores and 8 GB DDR5 RAM did 2 GB6 tests results below. I previously bought an actual VDS before (from another provider) with the same CPU model but at 8 dedi cores and 16GB RAM GB6 scores were much higher.. So my question is the new provider VDS an actual VDS or it's just another KVM shared VPS? Given the 2 test results. Is the value within an acceptable range of being a VDS?
Test1:

Single Core: 1582
Multi Core: 5483
Test2:

Single Core: 1720
Multi Core: 5815
An actual VDS that I bought the last time..

Single Core: 3025
Multi Core: 14665

Its expected.
Earlier scores were probably due to an empty node.
Dedicated doesnt mean you get full throttle. Dedicated means you can hammer the cores 24x7.
No provider will ever guarantee full gb score
It is not acceptable in my point of view.
For example, suppose I am buying a 9950x vps single core GB6 3300 on empty node. As the node fills, it will go down. Let's say to 2800 or even 2600.
That is expected and I would stay with that provider.
But if it goes to 1700 or 1500.... That is unacceptable and I'll end the contract.
So, it is better go with Ryzen VPS from lesser known providers then?
How much are you paying for it? A 1:1 CPU-to-RAM ratio seems pretty unbalanced.
It's just a shared VPS where the CPU is exempt from FUP
Saying that you can expect to receive HALF performance from "dedicated" cores is insane
I would look up a benchmark for that particular CPU and see if your scores are comparable after overhead.
In my opinion, a VDS should guarantee that you have exclusive access to those cores, or at least that there's no overcommitment on cores.
$18/month, price aside it is the specs that were promised. And at the CPU model.
Holy shit that's bad
Is it APAC at least?
which provider?
Frankfurt
I don't want to share yet (A turkish baased company with VDS presence in Frankfurt) in case it turns out to be an actual VDS, but the comments here seems divided, The forum veteran guy said it's expected but others disagree. Hmm..
LOL, it seems it came from the same host

You created the post because deep down you already knew the answer. Don't value some little forum tag over your own intuition. The server is shit
OP should name the provider so that others may stay away.
I'll name the provider if they can't provide a proper resolution. I'll speak with their support first. but it's a Turkish company with 10 years of history in this hosting industry
