Incognet having problems? Both website and portal seems down to me.
Looks like, I am getting timeout. But servers seem to work fine.
Been getting DDoSed all day in KC, just carpet bombing a /24 there and mostly saturating our ports, mitigation is working hard there. Then PA and WA... Now they're hitting the WAF in NL which is in front of our main site, portal and stuff.
Is what it is. It's Sunday so I'll check the public point of contacts on Monday to see if anyone is big mad about anything. Can't really do much about it and I'm not paying some retarded ransom or anything anyway, so it is what it is.
Basically out of stock of everything right now anyway and I don't do tickets on the weekends so it's not really impacting too much.
🥝🚜?
Well, I need to change some DNS entries in some domains I have with you, so it impacted me. But no worries, I'll setup some redirects in the proxy instead, wont make a difference.
Hard telling. Looks like they've had issues all day too, as has Gab per Torba in an email he sent out. Probably all related somehow.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound nonchalant in that it wasn't a problem. It is, just meant if someone is trying to hurt our sales or work flow, we're out of stock on most things and aren't slamming our fists on the desk because the portal is unreachable, it's mostly unmanned on Sundays. Its the one day of the week I try to rest a bit. I'll be in the office in the morning and will reevaluate some things.
As I said, no worries. Get your rest, not much you can do about it anyway.
I thought they got kicked out lol
Bump
Just saw this again.
Today I caught up on a bunch of things flagged for me. I'm sure this is in my spreadsheet of "requires your attention" tickets too. Out of the office now but will likely log in before bed for a short while or knock out the rest of my tickets tomorrow... The bulk of which are domain or DNS related.
I think I recall this issue though. I need to get with InternetBS.
Sorry for the delays. Almost caught back up. 💪
Hi @MannDude & @all, everyone,For those who have bought domains from Incognet, what issues have you experienced lately? I've read many past comments about problems, but I don't quite understand. Did people lose their domains, or are they just minor issues?
I currently have a VPS with Incognet, and I noticed they sell domains. I found a few names I like and I'm willing to pay their prices. However, it's always good to hear from actual buyers, or even from MannDude himself. I know he has been dealing with health issues. I also know it's true that support tickets aren't always on time, but sometimes we understand he does his best for us. I hope he recovers soon. I've been a loyal customer for years.
I have 3 domains with IncogNET, and outside of a small issue with a domain that was added to my account manually, the other two domains I've purchased through the website I have had zero issues with. Management and renewal all working as expected.
I have a large number of domains with IncogNet. I've been with them since day 1 of them offering domains. Not a single issue to speak of!
Most complaints are speed of processing. Some domain orders can take 12+ hrs to process while others are instant.
But now, we've got a few thousand domain customers active and most are satisfied.
I'm not going to lie, there have been a few hiccups along the way. Some automated actions like renewals have failed before, very rare but it's happened. This is remedied manually. And we won't process orders if we think it'll be used for fraud or phishing, so, like, "verify-wellsfargo-secure.cx" or whatever is getting cancelled, 100%. Sometimes the registrar like InternetBS will suspend a domain without our knowledge, they won't send us their reports and we won't have our own to guesstimate the cause when communicating with the customer. It's rare but not unheard of, and usually for phishing.
The majority are just as happy because most order a domain, set the NS, and forget about it for the most part.
So how am I going to host my site where I host guides for people from Christmas Island how to verify if a connection to the Wells Fargo website is secure??
Give @MannDude $2-5k for .cx holiday.
@MannDude is it possible to create account -> topup -> then purchase domain?
