Man, I love self-hosting my services!

I've been using my old laptop as a server right now, any suggestions on what next to host?

The only issue with self-hosting is accidentally breaking something ends up spending 4 hours fixing it and then questioning my life choices

Downloading whole web.archive.org to my 128 MB VPS right now.

Once it's done, will also add wikipedia.

  • @DataRecovery said: wikipedia

Believe it or not but I am doing it

Wikipedia isn't actually that big. You can definitely download Wikipedia. and today's political drama is a good reminder to keep backups of it.

I would do the same, but unfortunately I live in South America—Peru. Here, it’s common for the power to be cut off for 10 hours on Sundays because they perform maintenance on the power grid; otherwise, I would have had my data center a long time ago. Without power for 10 hours, batteries don’t give us a competitive edge over the U.S. right now.
