Looking for a reliable vps/vds provider in Singapore.
We have been using Netcup root servers in the USA for around two years without any major issues. They recently launched servers in Singapore, so we moved some of our services there.
The main problem is that whenever an abuse complaint arrives, they immediately suspend the entire server. We then have to contact them and request temporary access. They usually reopen it for only two hours, during which we must find and fix the affected website.
This has become a major headache over the past two months. We normally receive only one or two abuse reports per month, but each report now causes several hours of downtime.
We need a provider that will notify us about any abuse complaint and allow up to 12 hours to resolve it instead of immediately suspending the whole server.
Required specs:
64 GB RAM
16 CPU cores
2-3 TB SSD
Singapore location
Good price

let30so $350-425/m. Does @onidel have it available?Is there much data locality in your workload? If so, you could get away with 2-3 TB HDD and a small SSD used for caching. The dm-cache facility in Linux will transparently keep the most-accessed data on the SSD, so if your workload has good data locality, you can get SSD-like performance despite most of the data being on an HDD.

My budget is around $100–120/month. I need 64 GB RAM, 16 cores and 2 TB SSD/NVMe storage in Singapore. The 2 TB storage is required, not optional.

It is a normal cPanel shared hosting workload with many small files, databases and regular account activity, so I would prefer SSD/NVMe instead of HDD with caching.
This is the usage from one of my Singapore servers, and all my other servers have almost the same usage:

Load average around 1.5–1.9
48 GB RAM used out of 62 GB
1.1 TB storage used out of 2 TB
Around 391 disk operations per second
Average around 2.9 MB/s reads and 3.5 MB/s writes
The average throughput is not very high, but random I/O and latency are important for hosting. I also need the full 2 TB storage because current usage is already around 1.1 TB.
You should be able to get dedicated with that budget. Probably you can start with OVH.
I used OVH Singapore before. In 2024, I had around six servers with them.
When an abuse case came, they did not send me any warning or give me time to fix it. They directly terminated two of my servers, and I lost all the data on them. It took me several days to recover everything from backups, and I received a lot of negative reviews because of the downtime.
So unfortunately, I cannot use OVH again.
I think you should divide the workload into 2 to 3 VDS or VPS among different providers. That way when a server goes down due to abuse reports, it will not affect others. And since you are running a business, I think you should pay a premium to get better services, else if not today eventually your customers will leave you for low reliability.
I already offer multiple locations, and since I’m still running a small business, I have each location with a different provider.
Splitting the same location across multiple providers would make management much harder, especially for migrations, upgrades, monitoring and keeping performance consistent across all servers.
I understand the reliability point, but for now I’m looking for one solid Singapore provider with a fair abuse process rather than spreading one location across several companies.
