  Oof. First, somebody fucked up and doesn't make sure the servers were ready for the next day. That's one day lost.
  Then UPS is expected to be picked up same day, and when it's not, you contact the datacenter instead of UPS to ensure afternoon pickup. That's another day lost.

  We have an update and the servers will be arriving at the data center in Las Vegas tomorrow, July 31. We hope that the data center will install them immediately on the same day.

  So if they have limited or shorter work on weekends, it means install will be done on Monday or Tuesday.

  Ouch, it's just sitting in the DC for 3 days waiting for UPS only to have someone to drop it off which could have been done on day 1?

  First, I imagine it takes a special vehicle to do the transfer, not someone's Honda Civic.

  Second, it was powered off Sunday evening. Ain't nobody open to drop it off to.

  1. We have dropped off boxed up servers in a back of a 2008 Civic with seats folded down. Took multiple trips but we dropped it off.
  2. Day 1 is still Monday. It's still 3 days of down time sitting in DC powered off, Sunday Evening - Wednesday Evening.

  reminds me how cailin transported multiple TBs of RAM in the back of his uncle's car when he shifted from his basement to something that resembles as a DC
