CloudCone Still Unable to Restore Normal Service?

mailmemailme Member

Their website call it “Scheduled Maintenance”, but the affected services, including the backup system, have been unavailable since the problem started and still do not seem to be working properly.

They are also refusing to offer refunds.

I honestly wonder whether CloudCone is still able to provide the services it advertises, or whether “Scheduled Maintenance” has simply become a way of describing services that are no longer working.

I not want to blame them (because - probably lucky - i'm not their client), but if I not wrong, they are on downhill. If You search the previous LET theards, comments.. they have many problems, and lot client unhappy with them. - https://imgur.com/a/Sl1AXf7

  • In my experience, since edge center bought them, the service went downhill. Their service was actually good before that.

I believe it started when they got hacked.

I have tried several times this year. Unfortunately, I was always told to be patient and wait.

You are right. I am already testing two other providers and was lucky enough to download all of my server data. Some of my clients still want to wait and see after being with CloudCone for years, but I have already spent far too much time on this.

I also encountered many issues after the datacenter migration, and my IPv6 is still unusable up to now. I opened a ticket with them more than 10 days ago, and they still want me to be patient and wait. I don't know how much longer I have to be patient.

    Sounds like no backup.

@mailme Thanks for reaching out again.

The "Scheduled Maintenance” is part of a series of planned upgrades to our LAX DC's infrastructure. While some services have remained unavailable longer than initially expected, this is due to the complexity of the work being performed rather than an attempt to misrepresent the situation. Throughout the process, we have continued to communicate with affected customers and provide updates on our Status Page: https://status.cloudcone.com

The Los Angeles Colocation Migration was an important step in strengthening our infrastructure for the future. While the process presented unexpected challenges, our Engineering and Operations teams worked around the clock to restore services, improve platform stability, and ensure the underlying issues are fully addressed.

We have temporarily disabled the creation of new backups and snapshots for SC2 instances while we perform back-end optimizations to improve the performance and reliability of other SC2 operations, including instance provisioning, booting, and rebuilds.

During this time, creating new backups and snapshots will be unavailable; however, restoring from existing backups and snapshots remains fully available and is not affected. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete these improvements. Read here: https://status.cloudcone.com/incidents/387931

With regard to refunds, they are handled in order, and yours will be completed once it reaches its turn in the queue. There is no action required from your side at this stage. Everyone will get their refunds; we kindly ask for a bit more patience. You will receive the confirmation automatically once completed, along with an update on the ticket.

CloudCone continues to operate normally and remains committed to investing in its infrastructure. Upgrades such as these are undertaken to strengthen the platform for the long term, even when they require temporary service interruptions.

We understand that experiences like yours can have a lasting impact, and rebuilding your trust, worth over 6 years, is something we take seriously. We'd genuinely appreciate the opportunity to make this right and are also confident these upgrades will further improve network stability and restore it to 'how-it-was-before'.

Feel free to send a direct message on LowEndTalk if you need any further clarification. I would be glad to help you. Have a great day ahead.
