For transparency, we're also one of the few providers at our size that reports incidents on a per-node basis. Many providers only publish facility-wide or location-wide events, whereas we'll report something impacting even just one physical node - whether that's a loose network cable, failed RAM, a port issue, and even at times, non-customer/downtime impacting events. As such, the amount of incident history shown should also be viewed within the context of the size of our overall infrastructure.
When multiple VPS services are ordered, our automated provisioning system will generally distribute them across separate physical nodes whenever possible. Considering we operate hundreds, and in many cases thousands of nodes per location, there is already a very high probability of physical node diversity. We can also manually accommodate specific diversity requests when needed.
Our engineering and development teams have been hard at work lately, and we have some exciting projects and good news that we'll be sharing with the community and our customers soon
To be fully transparent, with the amount of projects that our team is currently working on, a complete rework of our status page is lower on our internal Trello board, but it is there. We currently utilize Cachet, which gets the job done for now, but our longer term goal and ideal scene is to develop our own status page platform that is better suited to our infrastructure and presents the information customers are looking for more effectively.
