Offers are in high demand, that's why they're made.

That's incredibly stupid during a DDoS and backlogged Support. No wonder the DDoS went on for a month. SMH

Just to support DH a bit. I have got 2 servers with them - ams ryzen ipv6 and germany. Believe it or not but both are rock solid in terms of uptime. I only reboot them after updates. However, taking into account DH profile, I would not dare to keep anything even similar to production on those. Ssh works fine, no issues.

Fraud is probably improper word here.

Fraud is definitely improper word, but QoS is poor. And I can't believe for last month you're not faced with issues, for Germany, is possible, but not for Netherlands. Actually my Germany VPS was absolutely terrible, upload/download speed was 20-200kb/s (from any location us/ca/ne/ge/gb) and support all the time answered no any issues on our side. 🤷‍♂️

I've been billed for a new year of vps 2 months in advance. But because of the bad uptime and not really needing the vps anymore, i've told them to refund me. This was on the 28th of june, i've asked twice more since then to get the refund, they keep saying "they'll do it soon". I won't probably see my money back again, right?

deluxhost is the worst hosting provider on let that i have ever used

lol wow! they're very polite though.

first provider i have ever used where SSH'ing would take minutes and YABS would crash before any test ran. Trying to write the YABS bash file to disk was minutes as well

fairly certain my entire VM was being ran on SWAP

Its sekurity by design - they are verifying all logins and the fact that every thing inklusing memory is triple encrypted so thats what it is.

Someone folks do not appreciate this

You will. These guys are struggling because they're taking on too many customers even while they have a backlog of downtime to fix and tickets to respond to, but they're not thieves who will just disappear with your money.

Please, for fucks sake don't act surprised. You tend to bill early. This is not a single time occurance. Dont want no beef, but mate, YOU should know that you are doing this, its your company. Acknowledging mistakes is one part, writing GPT generated mails, promising it will get better, then not doing shit to improve is a whole different thing. This is kind of expected from a low end host, but acting surprised that you bill customers way too early, mate thats just fucked up and kind of shows your deceiving nature or the fact that you dont know shit about your shit. Dont know which one is worse.

The main problem that most people report and we have explained, depends on the fact that two invoices are created for the same product, before the deadline, we are not talking about a problem that all our customers have, but even a small part affected obviously does not exempt us from fixing it, at the moment we are taking all necessary measures including a system change to our own and no longer WHMCS.

Furthermore, in the emails sent, the most recent ones we talked about DDoS attacks, it seems to me that the situation was resolved successfully and at a huge economic expense on our part, without taking 1€ away from our customers.

This VPS does not exist anymore. I left only one VPS in NE, which 99% idler and will expire at Sep. I like your service, when I bought it, but after 6 months it makes poor and poor. Sorry for that.

After all these disasters, I felt I was to harsh on them. So I asked to reactive my Y-4 VPS and not to reactive the STORAGE-2 VPS as they already deleted/refunded it with my data lost.

So they reactivated Y-4 with 12 months on high tier server. Then I reinstall OS and setup ssh keys from their control. Now I see that I CAN"T F***ING CONNECT TO THAT IP, ITS UNREACHABLE. LIKE WTF!!!!!!!!! YOU GUYS NEVER LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKE OR YOUR INCOMPETENT TO RUN THIS BUSINESS. I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH LAZY OUT OF TOUCH TEAM.

Now how do I validate ip reachability?? I tried to ssh from some top-tier VPS like., Oracle Cloud, Racknerd, Dedirock.

    Here proof of their Incompetent:

I made a change, try it now. There were some old rules from a client that restricted SSH on port 22, and that was the problem. I'm sorry you encountered this issue, but honestly, blaming it all on "you're incompetent" is very simplistic and I think it's just the result of your previous frustration.

I’m here to help, but we can't do more than that really, seeing your ticket the problem was reported this morning

Good question. I do remember a similar issue back then when they had neoprotect running. iirc they made it optional with some opt-in notice, but i didnt need it, so ignored it. Couple months later i wanted to deploy something, turns out all the rules were still in effect and every port i didnt allow prior to it, was still blocked/filtered to oblivion.

It just seems to incredibly dumb to restrict port 22 at a level that sticks even on server recreation instead of at OS level (best case) or VF server firewall level (worst case)

Not sure why the provider would want to take something this simple and turn it into an issue

you @DeluxHost and All deserve to know what exactly threw off

Your Y4 VPS had been performing poorly for months for many people, and me. I was willing to let that slide and was happy with a simple refund. As I found STORAGE-2 VPS reliable and stable without any problems.

Before requesting the refund for my Y4 VPS, I moved all my services and configurations to my STORAGE-2 VPS, which had been rock solid from day one. And I commend your STORAGE-2 stability. It also had perfect hardware configuration thanks to 2 bonuses (1 from order, 1 from ddos comp): 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 20 GB NVMe, and 1 TB storage. I was happy continue even If I didn't get or delayed refund for Y4.

And what did you do? You deleted my STORAGE-2 VPS, where I had copy configurations and services from Y4 few weeks ago as backup. Now later you reactivated it with 1 month trial STORAGE-2 without my bonuses, and expect me to continue this huh?

So, in the end, you basically killed the good one to save the bad one.

My STORAGE-2 VPS also suffered from serious issues. The problems started on July 9, and since July 16 the VPS has been completely unreachable.

I reported the issue multiple times, but @DeluxHost kept ignoring the actual problem. Despite repeated notifications, there has been no effective investigation or resolution.

VPS being unavailable for this long without a proper response is unacceptable.

I had small issue around that time. They moved my STORAGE-2 to new node and the 1TB disk wan't mounting, but it got fixed in 3-4 days.

I should have responded to your ticket, sorry for the wait, the missed days will obviously be put back in your plan

Note for nerd: don't care that my IP is exposed. I requested for refund. I had enough with them.

I made a change, try it now. There were some old rules from a client that restricted SSH on port 22, and that was the problem.

    What

    How

Good question. I do remember a similar issue back then when they had neoprotect running. iirc they made it optional with some opt-in notice, but i didnt need it, so ignored it. Couple months later i wanted to deploy something, turns out all the rules were still in effect and every port i didnt allow prior to it, was still blocked/filtered to oblivion.

It just seems to incredibly dumb to restrict port 22 at a level that sticks even on server recreation instead of at OS level (best case) or VF server firewall level (worst case)

Not sure why the provider would want to take something this simple and turn it into an issue

We give customers full freedom and everyone can do whatever they want with their server and IP as long as they "own" it and it falls within the legality

However, we are creating a system that will automatically delete the IP rules once the server expires, thus avoiding similar problems in the future.

Rules where? Virtfusion doesn’t have a client facing firewall?

And of course a client should be allowed to disable SSH on port 22, as I’ve said, they could have accomplished this at OS level or worst case server-level in VF from Admin.

I'd like to join this discussion too. About six months ago, I started a discussion about my deluxhost server being down for two weeks, and even after tech support responded, it continued for quite some time. However, from that moment on, the ping increased to 125ms from Moscow (while on their other server the ping was around 60ms), and several times, FOR WEEKS, the server was unavailable (however, I no longer paid attention to this because I had moved all critical services from it. Now it was time to pay, and I looked at how many days I was compensated for the penalty... I was only compensated for 18 days, although the server was down (or had such an unstable connection that even SSH didn't work) for an incredibly long time this year, more than a month for sure, and at least 2 weeks were recorded by me. I opened a ticket about connection problems on July 17th, thinking that if they really could fix all the connection problems, I would not be able to renew it and continue using it, despite the fact that the compensation is negligible, but they have not responded to me for over a week! I am ready to accept all the shortcomings of this service, since they provide good specifications for a small price, but this is their attitude towards their customers. It's unbearable.
I'd be happy if the situation can be resolved, but right now I don't think even a damn 8GB RAM server is worth 18 euros. Ticket #NWT-225615
