Sadly no.
I found the instructions too cryptic. After regular 14 hour days I am just too tired to try. My brian is fried sirs

I don't see the changes in the plan; I even signed up for 8GB and it's not even delivering that.
7.8 GiB ≈ 8.38 GB, so maybe they're measuring in GB when
freeis measuring in GiB. That's common.1 GB = 1000000000 (10^9) bytes. 1 GiB = 1073741824 (1024^3) bytes.
I have personally made the change in adding the 0.25 GB ram.
Ah yes, the eternal battle of GiB vs GB — where 0.25GB upgrades vanish faster than coupons on LET 😂
Grabbed the $100/year VPS deal and honestly it has been pretty solid for what I need. I am using it for AI and web utilities, and for that kind of workload it has been doing the job just fine.
The performance is not crazy, but for the price I really do not have much to complain about. CPU is decent, disk performance is actually surprisingly good (shows they have good infrastructure), and overall the box feels perfectly usable for a cheap utility server.
The biggest weak points are probably the network performance and web dashboard. The network is usable, but not impressive. For a shared connection, it isn't surprising, butt I was hoping for more considering the best it squelched out was ~440 Mb/s to USA coast to coast. For a 1Gb/s connection, I was hoping for getting closer to that mark. Overall usable though. The web dashboard... It is slow, glitchy, and not very useful, but once Prometheus and Grafana are set up that stops mattering much anyway for monitoring, and support was quick so dashboard utility is needed less (more below).
One thing I will give them credit for is support. The wrong OS got installed on the original purchase, and after reaching out they had it fixed and redeployed within a couple hours. I would still love to see automated reinstall options or custom ISO support, but with Alma and Ubuntu available it is not a huge deal.
If there is one thing I really wish they offered, it would be Chicago as a location. That would fit my needs a lot better than Buffalo, and I think a Chicago-area deployment would make this deal a lot more attractive.
Overall, for $100/year, this has felt like a good buy. It is cheap, performance is good enough, support was responsive when I needed them, and for an AI and web utility box that is really what matters.
