Fair enough... :P the hosting industry has a lot to answer for. We are not claiming to reinvent the internet, just trying to bring back a simple idea: give customers a good service and dont punish them for staying.

10+ year old hardware with very limited bandwidth for 60$+ per month?

Maybe there's a market for that but for me personally i wouldn't touch it

This specific offer is tailored around the current limitations for promotional hosting offers on this forum (pricing limits), so its not a full representation of our entire product range.
Visit our web, you will find newer platforms, more powerful configurations for sure :)

  • Personally, older hardware has its uses.

I’d totally sign up but need something smaller hardware wise for a mailcow box - something like 32GB RAM, 2x2TB SSD (not the budget DRAM less ones) or 2x2TB NVMe on an e5 or later with IPMI and 1 IPv4s with 10TB @ 10g for $40 or less.

Locking in a price like that would be awesome.

I think that a lot of people are fixated on the idea of "cheap" which can really cost you in the long run, either with rate hikes or vanishing companies. For some idlers it may not matter, but for anything you deem important, in my mind just about anything worth paying money for, it's worth paying a little extra. And while I run a "more expensive" host as well, I also operate under this principle. My external DNS slaves are $60/year, $10/month, and 71 Euros/year.

I had a server with GTHost for a little while that was around the same price point. I was quite happy with it. I think these price points are reasonable and most importantly, sustainable from a business perspective.
