OVH Configuration help
Hi,
I am going to buy a server from OVH. I am confused about the two setup.
There are 2 x 2 TB price is ₹3680
and 3 x 2 TB price is ₹2760
Why 2 x 2TB price is higher than 3 x 2 TB
Thanks
Check the config here: https://eco.ovhcloud.com/en-in/rise/rise-1/?datacenters=ynm:1

Because 3 disks is more expensive than 2 disks? Or am I stupid?
Edit: XD you edited your post lmao.
As long as you don’t give us more infos…
SATA vs NVME ssd?
Yes. 3 disks price is lower than 2 disks. I am really confused.
If I get 3 disk at lower price do I need to set it up in Raid 5 ?
Both are NVMe
its been like that for a while , get the 3 disks
How to setup Raid? Raid 5 is not good for general hosting as I heard. What do you suggest?
Thanks
I believe raid is the reason it's cheaper
You can choose your raid config its a dedi so what u do is up to u ennit?
corrrect
There is YOLO raid - raid 0. Go with that. Don’t even backup.
@systemfreaks @Hayzee Completely understand your point. But Raid 5 is good for hosting? Mean I want to host client websites. I think, the recommended Raid is 1 or 10 for a web hosting environment. What do you say?
If I get 3 disks, how could I setup Raid? Can I use 2 disks as Raid 1 and keep the other disk as it is?
Thanks
I believe that if you do not know the answer, you should research it and understand how RAID works before hosting clients’ websites. RAID choices depend on many factors, and there is no single setup that is generally “best for hosting.” That is why I will not answer this question.
