Rarecloud double or triple your credit

I've found out that Rarecloud.io is running a credit campaign. Whatever value we add, they'll double or triple automatically.
"Add €20 or more and we double it, €50 or more and we triple it. One bonus per account, ends July 15."
"Top up now and we instantly match it:
€20–€49 double your money: pay €20, get €40 credit
€50+ triple your money: pay €50, get €150 credit
Bonus credit lands automatically right after payment. Valid for 60 days."

I've added some credit and i've got it triple automatically.
Valid for 60 days - good to know.

For reference, @cociu deadpooled shortly after offering triple credit deposits.
Yes, it’s summer. Rarecloud has to pay for summer vacations, Romanian weddings, and the seasonal “where did all my money go?” event. 😄
"Valid for 60 days" kills it. Only good if you are already spending big $$$ at rarecloud.
I renewed by VPS with the bonus credit for one year, but it won't let me renew for any more years, so I guess the rest of my bonus will expire. Rarecloud scammed me.
Probably a limitation of their billing system, did you ask them in a ticket if they can issue another invoice?
I just came across this in my mailbox.
3k for 1k sounds like deadpool to me.
@rarecloud having cashflow issues?
massive red flag. It is possible that they are missing cash flow for ongoing expenditures and subsidizing this with such "promos". DO NOT in any circumstances add money to low end provider. Just don't.
Rare means in dutch crazy or strange.
Seems a rather unsustainable offer, especially for big amounts it will mean several months/years of free service.
“Valid for 60 days”
Give me Your Money and I Will Multiply It for You
YOU CAN TRUST ME!
yes their service is very stable in HK and CA have 3 servers got a reasonable price but servers can not be relied on. Also their website dashboard is offline regularly also.
Amazing Offer!!

Me WANT it...
But me wait.
Can we withdraw the money after tripling it?
Chargeback
Here on this forum everyone is using the scam word very easily. ... Why is this a scam? We are doubling, even tripling your credits, and you call it a scam?
Check digitalocean.com, or vultr.com, and see that everyone limited the promotional bonus. It's a standard, and obviously it's to help you get more services and try our services.
p.s.: You should see a renew button on the service, if it's not there, open a support ticket and we will check it further..
Quick update first: we have reactivated this offer, it is live again through the end of August. Honest context on why it went quiet: at the start of the month the platform was still in beta and we had bugs in the billing dashboard, so we deliberately held back on pushing the promotion. We did not want to sell hard on something that was not fully ready. It is ready now: new dashboard, and the full lineup live, High Availability cloud, managed Kubernetes, VPS, proxies and more. The part we are most excited about is that we built a full API and an MCP server, so you can point Claude or any MCP-capable AI agent at your account and have it manage your infrastructure for you. We are building this to be an AI-friendly cloud. Now to the points raised here, because most of the skepticism does not hold up once you look at the actual terms.
On the "deadpool / cash flow" worry (@yoursunny @Neoon @Levi @cloudblast @stable_genius): here is the math nobody in the scam camp is doing. Triple credit means you pay €50 and get €150 of credit. That is a 66% discount, not free money. Double is a 50% discount. Look at our history: we have run promos up to 85% off. A 66% credit match is honestly on the tamer side for us. The difference is that this credit is capped, time-limited, and spent on real usage. Our base prices are already set keen, and while this promo runs we are not stacking other coupons on top of it. That is a discount with a floor under it, not a provider setting money on fire. No cash flow issues, we just rebuilt the entire platform and we want people to actually use it.
On the "60 days" point (@totally_not_banned @JamesOakley): that is how long the bonus credit stays valid once you top up, and it is deliberately a use-it window rather than a park-it-forever balance. That cap is exactly what keeps a 2x/3x match sustainable instead of reckless. For anyone already running services with us, 60 days of credit is easy to burn through, plenty of runway to renew or spin up what you need.
@storm you are right that it should not have blocked you, and calling it a scam over a billing limitation is a bit much. That report is a couple of weeks old and it should already work now. There is a renew button on the service, and if multi-year renewal still is not offered there, open a ticket and we will issue the invoice manually so none of your bonus goes to waste. (Thanks @fredo1664, exactly right.)
@network honest answer: no. The bonus is non-withdrawable promotional credit, it is for using our services (VPS, proxies, dedicated, hosting, domains), not a cash balance you can pull back out. Same as everywhere that runs match promos.
@95trace appreciate the honest review, and the stability feedback matters to us more than the jokes do. The dashboard downtime you saw was the old panel. We just shipped a fully rebuilt, API-first console and it is a different level of stable now. If you still see it drop, send us a timestamp and we will chase it.
@HOSTCAY @dbadude @DrNutella noted, Romanian wedding season is indeed brutal. Jokes aside: the offer is real, the terms are written plainly, and we are here answering in the open, which is not how a deadpool usually behaves.
And if you have not tried us yet, here is the low-risk way in: top up €20 and get €40, or €50 and get €150, then use it to test what we just launched, our new High Availability cloud in Bucharest built on OpenStack, or our new managed Kubernetes. Or put it against whatever else you actually need, a VPS in any of our 12 datacenters, proxies, a dedi, hosting or a domain. One balance covers all of it. The whole thing is API-first, so you can drive it from the CLI, Terraform or your own scripts instead of clicking around a panel, and the cloud is billed by the hour with a monthly cap so a busy month never turns into a surprise bill. Double or triple your first top-up at rarecloud.io.
Got a specific account issue? Open a ticket and we will sort it same day.
@rarecloud well written. I did double my moneys couple of weeks ago. And never in my mind was thinking its a scam. Totally opposite. I have 2 vps from Rarecloud and been very happy with their service. Looking forward to see some special prices in black friday or coming months.
Well, it's obviously deliberate. It effectively renders the whole thing into 1 month free regardless of what you are paying. You might get a little more if you time it like real clever or something but i couldn't be arsed to figure out the actual math but it's something along those lines.
So, if I previously ordered discounted service and now extend it with “promo” credits? This is stacking promo+promo.
Best of luck to your clients.
Thank you!
Fair question, and no, that is not the idea. The bonus credit is meant for you to try the new platform: spin up a new service, run it, and yes, renew it from whatever balance is left. That is what it is scaled for.
You can still spend bonus credit on renewals of your existing services, nobody is blocking that. What we will not do is hand-cut special multi-period renewal invoices so a 66% credit bonus gets stacked on top of a plan that already carries a heavy discount. That exact combination is the one that stops making sense, so it is the one we do not actively set up for you. Everything self-service stays open.
So it is not promo-on-promo by design: the bonus is bounded, one per account, time-limited, and pointed at new usage. We ran the numbers before launching it. Our clients will be just fine.
LOL, #NYI-105721 has been open and unresolved since July 14. As I said, I was able to renew for an extra year, but when I click on renew again, it says "Early renewal opens on 2027-01-27." In the 6 months I've been a customer, I've already had to change locations because my VPS died and would not start, and the e-mails in May about raising prices on renewals did not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling. I'm really feeling like a fool putting more money into this venture. Prove me wrong.
I'll take a look into your ticket and get back to you a bit later.
We didn't just launch a cloud. We triple your credit.
⏰ Ends July 15, 2026. No extensions, no second round.
...
Did you claim your 3x credit?
⏰ Ends August 31, 2026. No extensions, no second round.
The first round didn't get promoted, just got to a small part of our subscribers and got paused. We've explained above.
You send this to my email, so you promoted it.
Might be that you cut it off as you say, but it was essentially promoted by you.
So from my perspective its the second one.
