looking for cheap email hosting

I am looking for email hosting for several domains, each domain only has one or two emails, with the aim of sending invoice emails and resetting client area passwords.

    Would give a +1 for MXRoute too, based on historical deals here. But given the dramatic parting of the waves it might not be the cheapest option for OP now.

    MXRoute, NameCrane, ProtonMail (paid) are my picks and daily drivers.

    Can't go wrong with any of those as far as I'm concerned.

    Just to flag an option: we don't offer managed mail hosting, but if you're comfortable running Mailcow/Mailu/Postal yourself, our EPYC Configurator in Eygelshoven, NL has port 25 open by default (blocked only on our smallest XEON 1G plans). Small config for invoice sending:

    • 2 Cores (AMD EPYC, Zen 3 Milan, ECC DDR4)
    • 4 GB RAM
    • 40 GB NVMe (RAID 1)
    • Unlimited traffic, 10 Gbps shared port
    • IPv4 + IPv6 /64, rDNS supported
    • 6.99€/mo standard (or 6.29€/mo with LET10)

    Our IP range is monitored on our side, so you start with clean sender reputation rather than a burned one (unlike some large cloud providers where mail from their range gets auto-flagged).

    Managed mail from MXroute or similar is simpler if you don't want to admin the mailserver - that route also works and probably cheaper. Just wanted to put the self-hosted option on the table.

    Another +1 for MXRoute. I don't keep up with all the drama (only some!) but I've not noticed any service issues. Been solid for years and years. It is what it says on the tin. Nice and simple. Just works.
