nice offer
Soooo how long is that lifetime? 1 year? 2 years? 6 months?
As long as you keep the service.
I've got both a Lieutenant and a Commodore instance with them in NL, on different nodes.. both are dang near VDS. single & multi thread is near advertised, scales well and 0.0% steal. Great disk performance as well, seems to scale with the package (IOPS increases proportionately to the tier of package). None of their packages on any of the nodes I've used are oversold, at all.
They do get some heat because:
1) they had a ridiculously good deal once (deadpool status) and folks got pissed every offer wasn't the same since.. although their BF deals were amazing imo.
2) some random network issues recently, which I wasn't affected by (or maybe never noticed).
3) support can be a bit difficult to navigate at times.
still, would highly recommend.
How long will the company last, was my question.
'bout the same experience here. Was lucky to be one of the users that got the "they may deadpool" deal, but am very happy with the performance.
Yeah, to be honest, there was quite a chance that the deal was too-good-to-be-true, but once in a while you're lucky with them and then you keep those VPSes, even if you don't have a real use for them, but for the future. Because you know you won't get it back. The gamble makes up for the ones that are drama in one way or another.
I was severely affected by it and complained about it a lot. And since it took about a month to fix (after quite some time of not acknowledging there was an issue), I think some kind of gesture of compensation would be good. I got an offer, but it's basically worthless (extra memory on a VPS that's only using half of it's memory); responded to the offer and that was exactly one month ago. Without response.
Yeah, would also probably. On the "holy trinity" of cheap VPSes they're lacking a bit on the support part, but for me that's the least important of the 3...
Not AMD Epyc though unless they upgraded. But yeah, have some of those deals still. And have been using them before that for years.
Not a summerhost. Their AMS network issues been somewhat annoying but overall, happy client.
