In that order. Various VMs for various things in locations we don't have or for things I want off-loaded from our own network for redundancy (like nameservers) and such.
I try to diversify. The most I have is 5 with @aluy in CH, BG, NL, FI, and HK. The second most is 4 with JustHost in CZ, ES, SG, and AL. Besides that, I only have one with almost all the other providers.
My hostnames contain the location and provider:
It's a solid plan... but then i get too excited about sales... and well... yeah.

We have 22 servers from 21 providers.
The only two-server provider is GreenCloudVPS, although one server is pending cancellation.
We would soon have two from Synteq:
It's basically a race to zero price.
Once we acquire a server for $6/year or less, it anchors the location and we won't need more servers in the same location.
It's unlikely for the same provider to gib two free or very cheap servers, so all we can hope for is one server per provider.
