Need a dedicated server mainly for media storage

Currently, i have a server on OVH with following specifications

CPU: Intel Xeon E-2288G | 8 Cores / 16 Threads | Up to 5.0 GHz Turbo
RAM: 64 GB ECC DDR4
Storage: 2x 960 GB NVMe SSDs + 2x 6 TB SATA HDDs
Network: True Unlimited Bandwidth @ 1 Gbps port
Location: Eastern Canada

Base Cost: $79.80 / mo
IP Cost / Extras: + $2.39 / mo
Total: $82.19 / mo (with true unlimited bandwidth included).

I want a similar server with a cpu with integrated graphics to run intelQsync and some more storage in same bracket

Checking all those marks or really beating OVH in general will probably be tough. Is there anything you care about specifically? You don't really need that kind of CPU, 64gb RAM or unmetered (i truly hope your use of true doesn't imply dedicated here...) traffic to store stuff after all. All in all it sounds more like you are transcoding/distributing media than just storing it.

Thanks for asking.. I have an alternative to ovh with less price on one provider with below specifications..
    Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
    CPU: Intel Xeon E-2336 2.9GHz 6c/12t
    PassMark Benchmark: 16673
    RAM: 64 GB DDR4
    Bandwidth: 100 TB @ 1 Gbps
    Base IP Amount:1
    Price is 70 USD..

But the main issue is that CPU has no iGPU and i need iGPU for jellyfin quicksync transcoding ..

Why? Do you have so many streamst simultaneous that you can’t use software encoding?

Yeah, i fear that'll be the case with a lot of actual server CPUs. Aside from a couple exceptions you'd pretty much want a consumer CPU (Ryzen, i7, i9, ...).

What options you have is kinda hard to evaluate without knowing how much actual transcoding you are doing. If you are the only client i figure you might even get by with something as modest as an E3-1245v6 (which should be one of the exceptions actually having an iGPU). That would leave you at needing a couple big disks and a reasonable amount of RAM. Again assuming a single client you'd probably wouldn't really notice going down to 16GB.

let me tell you exact usage .. I have a main windows server 2025 machine configured to run 2 VMs first one has Jellyfin docker with 12 TB of media shared with 12 users on ubuntu server and a second hosting Ubuntu server with 6 wordpress websites hosted.

I see, well probably better scratch that E3 then. At 12 potential concurrent transcodes you'll want a fair amount of performance. You could probably save a good bit of resources by removing Windows from the equation but that still won't make the whole setup into something that would run on some low budget box. I guess it's probably best to stay somewhere around the resources you have now.

Actually the problem with OVH is the iGPU, it is not working and locked by the provider. Even, I raised a support ticket, they replied that this function is not available. So, this is the main reason that I am looking for an alternative server with iGPU.

https://www.webtropia.com/ might be an option. You could get their Ryzen 5 with disks upgraded to 2x 6TB HDD around 80-90€/m depending on term length. I'm not sure but the price i'm seeing likely includes 19% VAT, so if you are outside of the EU you might even get it at ~$70. Only 32GB RAM then though. Multicore would be a little stronger than what you have now. Singlecore is slightly weaker but not too much (~2500 vs. ~2800 points).

Edit: Sorry, i'm not 100% sure but their Ryzen doesn't seem to have an iGPU either :(

Thanks for the suggestion dear. They have good storage servers for 80€ however they are out of stock. I will check other possibilities on this website.

You might be able to bring their i7 (which has iGPU) down to like 80€ (with disks upgraded to 2x6TB HDD) if you get to deduct VAT but it's above what you are paying now. Comes with 64GB RAM though.

Edit: Yeah the i5 storage server would have been pretty sweet if it were in stock :(
