SCAM ALERT: User 'backbetallc' Ghosted After FiberState Server Transfer Ticket #GUG-555011

"Hey guys,Just wanted to post a huge scam alert regarding the user [backbetallc]. We agreed on a deal to transfer his FiberState Ryzen 9 9950X dedicated server to my account ([email protected]).He did open a ticket with FiberState (#GUG-555011) and sent me the screenshot showing that FiberState support was ready to execute the push. However, right after I sent the money, he completely ghosted me, blocked my messages, and went missing.I have already contacted FiberState billing, but I am putting this here to warn everyone on LET. Do NOT deal with this guy [email protected]. I hope @FiberState or any representative here can help look into this ticket #GUG-555011 and freeze this malicious scammer's assets before he moves out. Attached is the official ticket proof."

    IN CRYPTO EVEN, AHAHA

Sorry OP, but you totally fucked this up - at BEST id pay half before delivery and not from someone unknown like that IN CRYPTO.

Greed and desperation do not make good advisors.

Also the outside of LET (big brain move) conversation basically seems to prove that both parties practice transfers by changing account data.

  • I saw the screenshots he posted, which confirmed he had the machine, and I also saw his Fiberstate email address; the main issue was simply that I was too impatient.

  • Also, this is my first time trading on this forum, and I don't know how to find a middleman here.

    @backbetallc

I'll give you until noon (12:00) UTC tomorrow (Wednesday) to clarify the OP's issue satisfactorily

Just $50 XMR and those are yours. Deal?

According to the rules, the user @backbetallc wasn't allowed to offer a service transfer

There's always potentially a risk if one purchases a service transfer from a user on the forum, but the potential risk increases significantly if the seller doesn't fulfill the requirements to offer a service transfer

I also don't see why people would treat LET as some kind of dedicated trading platform. @OP seems to be one of those swap email traders (https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/4821427/#Comment_4821427). My overall sympathy is pretty much zero.

If you were going to do a server transfer at least do it through LET messages. Seems sus to do outside of LET. You could be talking to some random scammer that isn't even the LET user you are mentioning.

Sorry OP, but you totally fucked this up - at BEST id pay half before delivery and not from someone unknown like that IN CRYPTO.

to be fair, OP paid 60% upfront in the 60/40.

So the amount they have lost is the 60% thing iirc

but I am a bit confused, if they had paid 240$ and its 60%, was the trade value of 400$ with showing recurring at 129.95$?

What is a trade that someone is willing to pay 3-4x the recurring amount though. I'd be curious to know.

Also within these cases, It might be best to have it through a mediator or paypal which could support chargeback or heck a credit card because credit cards money is the banks money so they shut down the flow pretty soon mostly.

Also try to not buy servers from a person with just 5 comments as well.

I feel as if such specific demands and sharing the telegram id itself is what has the issue.

So a LET user with so little credentials simply just opens up telegram and pretends that he has the server and what not and I am unsure if the user who sold them actually had the server in the first place.

Also speaking of which, is the last image shared by @OP of the fiberstate panel. Is that image shared by the other person or did OP get access to the fiberstate account. I just have this hunch that they didn't even own the server and maybe it could be a ctrl shift inspect job or what exactly remains a suspicion though.

But basically the conclusion is to not share your telegram id when creating a looking for post.

@angstrom There might be a valid service transfer mechanism on LET correct, so if someone is looking for a server, then they can ask the other person to create a LET service transfer or to invoke it through LET rather than telegram correct for a better way in general?

I personally feel like credentials matter a lot. I am more than happy to trade something with people that I talk and trust on LET on everyday topics.

Credentials should matter more and if someone less credential worthy comes in lure of giving you a server, you should think twice before accepting that if the money is anywhere near a substantial amount.

I'm pretty sure I've read several times that fiberstate doesn't even do transfers. Is that screenshot completely fabricated?

They probably would have transferred the whole account

Edit: Support in the screenshots suggest otherwise

So a LET user with so little credentials simply just opens up telegram and pretends that he has the server and what not and I am unsure if the user who sold them actually had the server in the first place.

It's basically impossible to say who actually contacted him or if they even had anything to offer.

Also speaking of which, is the last image shared by @OP of the fiberstate panel. Is that image shared by the other person or did OP get access to the fiberstate account. 100% possible but in the end who really cares? The whole thing is just all around stupid.

But basically the conclusion is to not share your telegram id when creating a looking for post.

Or maybe not treat LET like a flea market to begin with. Especially not when the person doesn't have any kind of actual experience with the site anyways. If what happened here drives just a handful of the professional promo/bargain beggars away that's a positive thing in my book.

@angstrom There might be a valid service transfer mechanism on LET correct, so if someone is looking for a server, then they can ask the other person to create a LET service transfer or to invoke it through LET rather than telegram correct for a better way in general?

I'm not the person being addressed here but i have a very genius way of doing that. It's called the don't-be-a-stupid-retard approach. Not using some kind of offsite communication channel where is basically self explanatory in that context.

I personally feel like credentials matter a lot. I am more than happy to trade something with people that I talk and trust on LET on everyday topics.

Yeah, just a tiny, tiny bit of common sense goes a long way.

Credentials should matter more and if someone less credential worthy comes in lure of giving you a server, you should think twice before accepting that if the money is anywhere near a substantial amount.

    Yep, common sense.

  • Okay yup this pretty much confirms it. The image is fake. Time is flowing backwards from 6:15 to 5:30 to 5:28 to 4:38 then 4:03 while remaining the same date (consecutively)

Time might only change one time in decrement like say 6 AM to 4 PM but then 4 PM cant go to 3 without going the next date but the image shows the same date. He doesn't even own the server to begin with

Thus, the image is fake. #lowenddetective

  • Any update guys! I was waiting since last night

The image proceeds to show both images at the same day Monday july 6th while time is flowing

Stay safe people. The time variance authority might be coming for y'all for the disturbance in time caused by this.

On a serious note though: Guys and gals please stay safe with your money.
